The wild and wonderful world of Pixar is one of the most magical sources of movies on the planet, and across a twenty-two film filmography, the studio has introduced fans to a slew of fantastic characters.

Leading characters such as Woody, Buzz, Nemo, Carl, Wall-E, Mike, Sully, and more are all fantastic, but that does not mean the side and supporting characters should be overlooked. Here, we look at ten of those characters who should have been the leading good guy of their own film.

Boo

Disney Theory Monsters Inc Boos is Brave Witch

Boo is the most major character of anyone on this list, but she remains a side character out with Mike and Sully. She definitely deserves her own movie as she grows up and wonders about Kitty.

It would be an emotional movie that would be another great tie into Monsters, Inc and would fit amazingly on Disney+. On top of that, if Pixar decided to confirm the Pixar Theory - in which Boo is the witch from Brave - this would be the perfect opportunity.

Art

Monsters University Art

Monsters University may not be everyone's taste or stand out as one of Pixar's very best, but it is a good movie and decent prequel to the fantastic MonstersInc. One of the funniest minor characters in the movie is Art.

Art is a free spirit monster voiced hilariously by Charlie Day and becomes a part of the Scaring program by the end of the movie. But he is not in Monsters, Inc, so what happens to Art? We know he did time, so did he go back? Art has a lot of hobbies and skills and would lead to a great small movie.

Crush

Finding Dory was a very successful Pixar movie, and while it did not live up to Finding Nemo, it proved the film could have successful spinoffs. Characters like Gill and Jacques would be fantastic, but more so than that would be Crush.

The surfer-dude turtle brought a lot of hilarity to the movie and would be a hilarious lead in his own movie, which would get told from his point of view alongside his adorable son Squirt.

Bing Bong

Bing Bong smiles in Inside Out

Bing Bong is a great side character in Inside Out and presents one of the saddest moments in all of Pixar that will have all fans choking up. This moment is, of course, Bing Bong's death, which means he would need to have a prequel movie, but it would still be great.

Bing Bong is the evidence that things born in children's minds can manifest in the real world, which is a fascinating avenue for Pixar to explore, starting with Bing Bong as the main protagonist.

Chatter Telephone

Speaking with a noir style voice, Chatter Telephone is a standout minor character in Toy Story 3 and one of the oldest toys remaining at Sunnyside Daycare at the time when the film takes place.

Chatter Telephone would be the perfect avenue for Pixar to explore some sort of spy comedy film, or even just giving the story of Chatter Telephone; he acts like he has seen some stuff in his time.

Geri/The Cleaner

The cleaner looks at Woody in Toy Story 2

Geri is potentially involved in two films in the Pixar universe; Geri's Game and Toy Story 2. There are differences between the Cleaner and Geri despite a massively similar character model, so they may not be the same character, but it does not make much difference.

If Geri is the Cleaner, there is so much more to explore in the Toy Story universes with him, but if Geri is just Geri, then he still has enough character and has lived a long enough life to have his own film.

Horst

Ratatouille is a lovely movie with a lot of great characters, but by far, the best standout in terms of side characters is the mysterious Horst voiced hilariously by Will Arnett.

Horst has a mysterious past having been in jail for an ever-changing reason. Seeing the real Horst out of the kitchen would make for a great movie, and Will Arnett would be a fantastic Pixar lead.

Eve

EVE From Wall-E

Wall-E may well be Pixar's cinematic masterpiece in terms of pure filmmaking alone. Wall-E is a fantastic character, and so too is the supporting character of the movie, Eve.

Eve goes on a journey through the movie where she grows from just a simple robot with no real feelings, to one who cares for Wall-E. Seeing her life in an Earth where the humans have returned would be fantastic. The same can be said for Wall-E's little friend M-O.

Cool Girl & Her Head

Cool Girl from Inside Out with two kids talking behind her

The deep-dive into Riley's emotions in Inside Out is an absolute joy to watch. The entire movie is a beautiful and powerful journey, and in all honesty, it should not stop with Riley in terms of emotional exploration.

In the credits of the movie, we get a glimpse of Cool Girl's head as her emotions all freak out about how people judge her or see right through her. This would be amazing to see in a full movie as Cool Girl grows and deals with her very relatable emotions.

Frozone

Frozone fights the Omnidroid

"Where's my super-suit?" That one quote alone is enough to show any fan that Samuel L. Jackson's Frozone is so deserving of a standalone movie.

He is the standout side character of The Incredibles, and hearing more of Samuel L. Jackson in a Pixar movie is what everyone needs. Whether it be an origin story or a solo adventure, anything would be fantastic content.
