Players can unlock the Winged Pikmin variation in Pikmin Bloom. Similar to the mainline series, Pikmin Bloom features different colored versions of Pikmin each with its own distinct abilities. Players will start their adventures with a single Red Pikmin seedling that will eventually grow into a full Pikmin. As players continue to explore their environments, they will unlock access to more Pikmin of different types. The more Pikmin collected, the more treasure and Pikmin Bloom expeditions the player is able to go on. The only way to obtain new species of Pikmin is by continuing to level up in the game.
At any point, players are able to click on their profile icon to see what level they currently are. Players can also see what tasks they need to complete in order to level up. Many of these tasks are related to growing more Pikmin and walking a certain number of steps. Clearing them will give players more rewards and more saplings.
In order to obtain the Winged Pikmin seedling, players will need to reach level 19 in Pikmin Bloom. Winged Pikmin are also the final unlockable Pikmin variation in the game at this point. Players will need to clear each task individually for each level to move on to the next. This is the complete list of level-up requirements.
How To Unlock Winged Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom
- Level 1: Players start at level 1.
- Level 2: Players will need to complete the tutorial.
- Level 3: Players will need to walk 500 steps.
- Level 4: Players will need to walk 1500 steps and grow two Pikmin
- Level 5: Players will need to walk 3000 steps and grow a yellow seedling.
- Level 6: Players will need to walk 5000 steps and grow two Pikmin.
- Level 7: Players will need to walk 5000 steps and complete one expedition. Completing level 7 is how to get access to Blue Pikmin.
- Level 8: Players will need to walk 10500 steps and grow a blue seedling.
- Level 9: Players will need to pick 50 flower petals from Pikmin and walk 14,000 steps.
- Level 10: Players will need to plant 300 flowers and walk 18,000 steps.
- Level 11: Players will need to walk 230,000 steps and grow two Pikmin.
- Level 12: Players will need to walk 29,000 steps and grow two Pikmin.
- Level 13: Players will need to walk 36,000 steps and grow three Pikmin.
- Level 14: Players will need to walk 44,000 steps and grow one Purple Pikmin.
- Level 15: Players will need to walk 53,000 steps and grow three Pikmin.
- Level 16: Players will need to talk 63,000 steps and earn 1-star completion vs mushrooms.
- Level 17: Players will need to walk 74,000 steps and grow one White Pikmin.
- Level 18: Players will need to talk 86,000 steps and pick 100 flower petals.
- Level 19: Players will need to walk 99,000 steps and plant 100 flowers.
Once the player reaches level 19, they will be rewarded with a Winged Pikmin seedling. Players will need to talk 5000 steps in order for it to fully grow. Players can also continue to do this by completing Pikmin Bloom's co-co challenge mushrooms that can be found on the map. Winged Pikmin are much faster at getting around than the other types but do require more strength to pick up items.
