Players can unlock the White Pikmin variants in Pikmin Bloom. In the Pikmin series, these plant creatures are used to move objects around in the world. The more Pikmin the player is able to collect, the stronger and faster the Pikmin will become. In the case of Pikmin Bloom, players are able to clear out certain objectives faster if they have double the amount of Pikmin that is required. White Pikmin themselves are amongst the smallest in the group but are also responsible for doing the most damage. In the series, White Pikmin are extremely poisonous. If a monster is able to consume it, it will instantly receive tons of damage.

Players begin their Pikmin Bloom expeditions with only Red Pikmin to choose from. In order to unlock access to more Pikmin types, players will need to continue to level up. At any point, players are able to see their level from the main menu. By selecting it, players can also see what tasks they need to complete to move on to the next level.
