The USS Titan-A's bridge crew in Star Trek: Picard season 3 has been revealed by showrunner Terry Matalas, and he dropped some fascinating clues about the season and the starship's personnel. Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) reassembles his Star Trek: The Next Generation crew to meet a new enemy named Captain Vadic (Amanda Plummer). But Picard and Captain William T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes) don't come aboard the USS Enterprise-F. Instead, Star Trek: Picard season 3's hero ship is the USS TItan-A.No matter how powerful or technologically advanced the USS Titan-A is, a starship is only as good as its crew. Picard and Riker join a ship staffed by a new generation of 25th-century Starfleet Officers. Terry Matalas' Tweets introduced the Titan's crew, which has a couple of familiar and friendly faces along for the ride.

The design of the Neo-Constitution (or Constitution III)-class USS Titan-A deliberately evokes the classic USS Enterprise commanded by Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner), which visually ties the generations of Star Trek together. Whether the Titan's crew can rise to the occasion and prove to be one of the finest crews in Starfleet is for Star Trek: Picard season 3 to reveal, but here's who's who on the bridge of the Titan.

6 Commander Seven Of Nine

Seven of Nine appears in Star Trek: Picard season three trailer.

As the First Officer of the USS Titan-A, the sight of Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) officially in Starfleet is a long time coming. Seven received a field commission to command the USS Stargazer at the conclusion of Star Trek: Picard season 2. Prior to this, Seven was a Captain in the Fenris Rangers, and she took control of the starship La Sirena in between Picard seasons 1 and 2. Seven as the Titan's Number One fulfills the wish Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) had for her after Star Trek: Voyager ended.

According to Matalas' Tweet, Seven was "placed into an accelerated Starfleet program against her own judgment." This is a curious twist that hints at Seven's reluctance to be in Starfleet and/or be in command after Admiral Picard's field commission. It hints that Seven is not comfortable in her position as the Titan's Number One, and it'll be fascinating to see how this plays out.

5 Ensign Sidney La Forge

Picard Alandra La Forge

Ensign Sidney La Forge (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut) is the USS Titan-A's helmsman, and she is part of the La Forge Starfleet legacy. Sidney is the daughter of Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), the former Chief Engineer of the USS Enterprise-D and E. Unlike her sister, Ensign Sidney La Forge (Mica Burton), Sidney didn't want to follow her father's footsteps as an engineer. Matalas notes in his Tweet: "[Sidney] didn't want to build ships, she wanted to fly them."

Sidney's position as a helmsman actually does also honor her father. Geordi piloted the Enterprise-D in Star Trek: The Next Generation season 1 before he was switched to become Chief Engineer in TNG season 2. So, both Alandra and Sidney are chips off the old La Forge block, after all.

4 Lt. Matthew Arliss Mura

Picard Arliss Mura

Seated opposite helmsman Sidney La Forge at the front station of the bridge is Lt. Matthew Arliss Mura (Joseph Lee), the Titan's Tactical Officer. Mura is Bajoran with the trademark ridged nose of his race, which Matalas confirmed on Twitter. Starfleet apparently hasn't relaxed its rule on Bajorans wearing their earrings as Captain Picard did for Lt. Ro Laren (Michelle Forbes) on TNG.

Matalas Tweeted, Mura "has served on the new Titan for last 3 years and is exactly who you want at that station when you hear "give 'em everything we got!" This is an interesting tidbit revealing the Titan-A has been in service for over 3 years, so it's not on its maiden voyage in Star Trek: Picard season 3.

3 Lt. T'Veen

Lt Taveen Picard

Lt. T'Veen (Stephanie Czajkowski) is the Titan's Science Officer, and she is a Vulcan. Matalas says, "Several Captains fought to have [T'Veen] on their bridge. The Titan won." This hints that T'Veen will excel like her Vulcan predecessors as Science Officer. Of course, Vulcan Science Officers are a proud Starfleet legacy in their own right, from Spock (Leonard Nimoy), T'Pol (Jolene Blalock), and Tuvok (Tim Russ), who was a Science Officer aboard Captain Hikaru Sulu's (George Takei) USS Excelsior. T'Veen is also a bald Vulcan, evoking those seen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.

2 Ensign Kova Rin Esmar

Ensign Kim Rova Picard

Ensign Kova Rin Esmar (Jin Maley) is the Titan-A's Communications Officer. Esmar is a Hailiian, a telepathic and empathic race that debuted in the Star Trek: The Next Generation season 6 episode, "Aquiel." Many Haliians have served in Starfleet, but Matalas reveals Esmar, who uses They/Them pronouns, "graduated at the top of their class and speak over 72 alien languages." Even Lt. Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) would be impressed with Esmar's proficiency with languages.

1 Captain Liam Shaw

Picard Captain Liam Shaw

The Captain of the USS Titan-A is Liam Shaw (Todd Stashwick), who the Star Trek: Picard season 3 trailer already set up as someone who seems opposed to Admiral Picard and Captain Riker coming aboard his ship. Of course, the Titan was previously Captain Riker's command, so there may be some kind of rivalry between them. But Shaw hints at disdain, not reverence, for Picard, one of the living legends of Starfleet, which is certainly curious.

Matalas' Tweet indicates that Shaw is "a former engineer with a long history within Starfleet." This is a fascinating detail since it's not often a Starfleet engineer switches tracks to Command and rises up to become Captain of a starship. This indicates that Shaw is formidable, driven, and ambitious. His "long history in Starfleet" sounds like a positive, but perhaps there are skeletons in Captain Shaw's closet as well. Regardless, all will be revealed when the USS Titan-A takes flight in Star Trek: Picard season 3.
