Here’s a guide to the cast of sci-fi sitcom Phil Of The Future and the characters they played. Alongside the likes of Lizzie McGuire and That’s So Raven, Phil Of The Future was considered must-see Disney Channel viewing back in the early 2000s. The sitcom centered on a family from the year 2121 – the Diffys – who get stuck in 2004 after their time machine malfunctions while on a time travel vacation. Much of the comedy came from The Diffy family’s attempts to blend in with the comparatively prehistoric 21st century while trying to fix their machine and return to the future.
Phil Of The Future aired on the Disney Channel for just two seasons but despite its short run, the show was a hit with Disney Channel viewers. It got plenty of nods on the awards circuit too, including an Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Children's Programs nomination from the Directors Guild of America for former Wonder Years star Fred Savage, who was a producer and director on Phil Of The Future.
With the recent revival of That’s So Raven in the form of spinoff Raven’s Home and a Lizzie McGuire reboot on the horizon too, Phil Of The Future fans have wondered whether it might be due a reboot too. Raviv Ullman – Phil Diffy
Time-traveling teenager Phil was the main character on Phil Of The Future and the most skilled of the Diffy family at blending in with 21st-century society. Phil was played by Raviv Ullman who has since had roles on the Lifetime sitcom Rita Rocks and comedy web series Strangers.
Aly Michalka – Keely Teslow
Aly Michalka is best known for playing Peyton Charles on comedy drama iZombie, but one of her first big roles was as Keely Teslow on Phil Of The Future. Keely was Phil’s best friend and eventual girlfriend and the only person he trusted with his time-traveling secret.
Amy Bruckner – Pim Diffy
Amy Bruckner played Phil’s younger, mischievous sister Pim Diffy who could usually be found plotting world domination. Alongside Phil Of The Future, Bruckner also had roles in Malcolm In The Middle and Nancy Drew.
Craig Anton – Lloyd Diffy
Phil and Pim’s dad Lloyd was constantly paranoid about the government discovering he and his family’s time-traveling secret. He was played by seasoned TV actor Craig Anton whose other credits include Maron and Weeds.
Lise Simms – Barbara Diffy
Lise Simms played Barbara ‘Barb’ Diffy – the kind but culinary-challenged matriarch of the Diffy family. Before joining the Phil Of The Future cast, Simms had a recurring role on long-running soap The Young And The Restless.
J.P. Manoux – Curtis/Vice Principal Neil Hackett
J.P. Manoux played two parts on Phil Of The Future – a caveman named Curtis that stowed away in the Diffy family’s time machine and got stuck in 2004 with them, and Phil’s vice principal Neil Hackett who believed the Diffys were aliens. These days, Manoux is best known for playing congressman Clarence Clark on Veep.
