The Goryo is one of the newly added ghosts in Phasmophobia's Exposition Update. Like any other ghost in Phasmophobia, the Goryo possesses its own unique characteristics. However, it will leave common traces of Evidence within its lair, such as Fingerprints or an EMF Level 5. Fortunately, they are known not to wander too far off from their place of death, so it is likely within the same room where players discover its correlating Evidence.

Unlike the other ghost introduced in Phasmophobia's Exposition Update, the Goryo requires a new special kind of equipment that players will use to track its movements — the D.O.T.S Projector. This device emits a matrix of bright green laser points that can detect a ghost's movements, revealing where a Goryo might reside.

To find Evidence for the new Goryo ghost in Phasmophobia, players will need four key pieces of equipment: a UV Flashlight or a Glowstick for locating Fingerprints, D.O.T.S Projectors for catching movement, an EMF Reader for detecting Level 5 emissions, and Video Cameras (along with Tripods), as the Goryo will typically reveal itself when no players are nearby. Head into the haunted building and search for the room where the Goryo resides. Upon discovering its lair, place D.O.T.S Projectors about the area, so that the laser points can cover the spot(s) where the EMF emissions are strongest. Set up a camera or two and wait in the van to catch a glimpse of the Goryo.

Tips and Tricks on Finding the Goryo in Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia Goryo Ghost Camera Night Vision

While players can set up the new D.O.T.S Projectors in Phasmophobia in whatever way they feel is best, placing them on the floor is, effectively, a better way to detect a ghost's movement than putting them on a wall. As mentioned above, it is rare for a Goryo to leave the place where it died, so installing D.O.T.S Projectors in one room at a time would be better than spreading them out separately in different rooms.

Another unique quality of Phasmophobia Exposition's new Goryo ghost is that it will scarcely reveal itself to players standing in the same room it haunts. As a result, the best strategy to catch a Goryo on camera would be to mount Video Cameras on Tripods, or place them atop furniture to surveil a particular area. Players having trouble seeing ghost movement from the D.O.T.S Projectors can switch the cameras to night vision, granting a much clearer image of the Goryo.
