Saturday Night Live star and comedian Pete Davidson is boldly going where a handful of people have gone before, as he is set to be a crew member on Blue Origin’s next trip to space. Blue Origin has made nineteen previous missions to space, though this will only be its fourth manned mission.

Davidson is the next in the line of celebrity stunt-casting for Blur Origin’s New Shepard program. The Jeff Bezos’ founded company sent legendary Star Trek actor William Shatner on its sophomore manned flight, with Good Morning America co-host Michal Strahan joining the crew for its third flight. Davidson will be joined by and former FAA associate administrator and Commercial Space Technologies founder George Nield, entrepreneur Jim Kitchen, investor, and former Party America CEO Marty Allen, SpaceKids Global founder Sharon Hagle and her husband, Tricor International CEO Marc Hagle.

Each crew member will carry a postcard to space on behalf of Blue Origin's organization, Club for the Future, and its Postcards to Space program. The program allows schoolchildren to send postcards to space, which are normally sent up in a rocket and returned to the Earth via a capsule.

Davidson is making extreme efforts to distance himself from the controversy surrounding him and Kanye West, going as far as leaving the planet. West has been relentlessly provoking and/or harassing Davidson since the comedian started dating West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Most recently, West featured Davidson in a music video being killed and buried. Davidson responded to the harassment by telling West to "Grow the f— up," stating that he’s “gonna stop being nice” if West does not stop.
