Cast member Pete Davidson has revealed that he currently has no plans to quit Saturday Night Live anytime in the near future. Davidson was last seen in the film Big Time Adolescence, a coming of age comedy for Hulu where he plays a meandering college dropout and best friend of a young suburban boy trying to navigate his way through high school. He's also recently been seen on the current season of SNL, taking part in the sketch show's quarantine episodes that have been accomplished by cast members recording their sketches entirely from home.

Davidson joined the cast of SNL in 2014 and has become one of the show's most popular and controversial members. Davidson received backlash for mocking war veteran and politician Dan Crenshaw in an episode of the series, leading to an appearance from Crenshaw in a future episode where the two have a dialogue. He has also proven that he isn't one to back down from speaking his mind. After Kanye West made a politically-fueled speech when he was a musical guest, Davidson utilized an appearance on the show's Weekend Update segment to respond to West's speech.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Pete Davidson has stated that he has no plans to leave Saturday Night Live at the moment. When asked about his future at the iconic sketch show, Davidson responded by saying, "I will be there as long as they allow me to be." He goes on to say, "I think I'm very lucky to be on that show and I'm really lucky to have Lorne Michaels as, you know, not only a mentor and a boss, but a friend. I'll be there as long as they allow it."

Since joining the cast of SNL, Davidson has made the leap into film, finding considerable success. He has made appearances in high-profile projects, such as The Jesus RollsThe Dirt, What Men Want, and The Angry Birds Movie 2. On June 12th, his new film, The King of Staten Island, will hit video on demand, where Davidson will be center stage in the Judd Apatow-directed dramedy based on the comedian's personal life. Davidson is also a part of the cast for James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, where he will be starring in a mysterious role. He also released a new stand-up comedy special on Netflix, Alive From New York, earlier this year.

Saturday Night Live received a notable upgrade when Davidson joined the ensemble cast. Davidson has helped breathe new life into the sketch series, taking full advantage of his edgy humor and pushing the boundaries in ways the show hadn't in years. Hearing that he plans to stick around for the foreseeable future is fantastic news for fans of the comedian. Though his film career is starting to take flight, it's endearing that he continues to show appreciation for his job on the show. Though the series has had beloved cast members like Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig leave in recent years, Pete Davidson won't be saying goodbye to Saturday Night Live anytime soon.
