The Kardashians family has dominated reality television since Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered in 2007, and the clan is about to expand their empire even more after Kim Kardashian's boyfriend, Pete Davidson, reportedly agreed to join Jeff Bezos on a space flight. Since becoming an item in October, Kim and Pete have been under nonstop fire from Kim's ex-husband Kanye West; although the rapper has been involved with several women like Uncut Gems actress Julia Fox after Kim filed for divorce last February, Kanye has not been shy about his feelings towards Pete. The 28-year-old Saturday Night Live star was not only threatened in Kanye's 2022 song "Eazy," but its music video—released on March 2—has been met with public outrage after Kanye depicted Pete being kidnapped and buried alive.

Despite Kanye's targeted harassment towards Kim and Pete, the couple remains stronger than ever. Besides taking a lavish vacation to the Bahamas and sightseeing on Pete's native Staten Island, the reality personality and comedian have been spotted on double dates with multiple celebrities. Last December, Kim and Pete were seen catching a movie with Scott Disick—Kourtney Kardashian's ex-boyfriend—on Staten Island; the month before, the two visited Knott's Berry Farm with Kourtney and her now-fiancé, Travis Barker. The most interesting collaboration occurred in January, however, when Kim and Pete reportedly had dinner at billionaire Jeff Bezos' house. The evening, which included Bezos' girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, had Kardashian fans instantly speculating what the group may have discussed.

According to Page Sixthe meeting seems to have been business-related after all. Pete is reportedly heading to space with Bezos' Blue Origin, a private spaceflight company founded by the Amazon creator in 2000. While Pete's upcoming space flight isn't completely set in stone, the unexpected duo are reportedly close to a deal. “Pete is excited,” an insider confirmed. “They haven’t signed a contract yet, but it looks like it’s going to happen. The details are being finalized." With Pete's inaugural journey set to take place later this year, the opportunity presumably presented itself during their January dinner, as the source continued, "[Pete] got on really well with Jeff when they met."

As a high-profile celebrity, Pete won't be the first non-astronaut to see space after Blue Origin's first successful crewed mission last year. On July 20, Bezos and three others—brother Mark Bezos, Wally Funk and Oliver Daeman—became the first civilians to leave Earth on the New Shepard suborbital spacecraft. The 10-minute flight, which broke multiple Guinness World Records, was quickly followed by two more missions. On October 13, Blue Origin sent actor William Shatner to space; former football player-turned-television personality Michael Strahan followed on December 11. With Pete and Kim meeting Bezos just weeks later, it's clear that Pete is set to become one of the next big names to (temporarily) experience life outside this planet.

Fans of the comedian are excited by Pete and Bezos' collaboration, especially since Pete and SNL guest star Miley Cyrus portrayed astronauts on Mars in a May 2021 skit. As for Kim, the mother-of-four will continue to be planted on Earth; between her divorce from Kanye and Hulu's upcoming show The Kardashians set to air next month, these two have quite the year ahead of them.
