Atlus has launched a special Persona 25th Anniversary website, which features teases for seven new projects; the first reveal is scheduled to go live on an unspecified date in September. A spinoff of the Megami Tensei franchise, the original Persona installment launched in 1996 as Revelations: Persona on PlayStation.

Persona spent years flying under the radar for most, making waves exclusively in niche circles. Its true claim to fame arguably came with the launch of Persona 4 Golden on PlayStation Vita, offering audiences an expanded iteration of PlayStation 2's previously released Persona 4 adventure. Persona 5 was what really set the world on fire, though, and it's yet to leave the stratosphere, courtesy of the enhanced Person 5 Royal and two other spinoff titles - rhythm game Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight and action-RPG Persona 5 Strikers. Atlus clearly plans on further expanding the series; the first details about what's on the horizon should surface in just a couple of months.

A Persona 25th Anniversary website from Atlus recently went live, promising a celebration that will last throughout the rest of this year. Persona Central notes that the webpage teases collaborations, commemorative merchandise, events, and details about upcoming games. The site most notably hints at seven "Persona 25th Anniversary Projects," all marked by black cards with question marks embedded within them. According to one card, Atlus intends to make the first announcement in September. Six more reveals will follow, with the final piece of news slated for Fall 2022.

What the seven secret Persona projects could entail is anyone's guess at present. However, fans hope at least one of the announcements constitutes a Persona 6 reveal. Since Persona 5's original Japanese release in late 2016, the franchise's faithful audience has been treated to a few new adventures, including the aforementioned rhythm and action-RPG titles. The time seems right for another numbered entry.

A few of the teased titles could also be ports to other platforms. Nintendo Switch owners, in particular, continue to await a Persona installment on the hybrid platform, though Shin Megami Tensei V's November 2021 release could scratch that itch. Atlus may also have additional spinoff projects in the works. And since Persona translates so well to other genres, who can say for sure what the company may have up its sleeve?
