In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Tera Raid Pokémon can be destroyed within seconds when using a Perrserker. Game Freak made Tera Raid battles no easy cakewalk requiring trainers in 6-star Tera Raids to make sure that they have a strategy. Tera Den Pokémon are given a unique Tera type but have the original type's move set, so thinking about general typing and same-type attack bonus (STAB) is essential. With Steel-type Pokémon having the best defensive stats and heavy-hitting moves, Perrserker is an excellent choice for raiding.

Perrserker in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is easy to find as it can be given to trainers who complete their Language Course from Mr. Salvatore. However, Perrserker needs its Hidden Ability, 'Steely Spirit,' for this strategy to work. Consider using a Belly Drum Iron Hands Perrserker needs an Ability Patch to take down a trainer's first raids exclusive to Pokémon Violet or trade for another exclusive from Pokémon Scarlet. Once Galarian Meowth is level 28, it will evolve to Perrserker. Players can slap on the Ability Patch, and Steely Spirit gives it its first boost to its strength.

Effort Values, Individual Values and Natures

Bottle Caps and Gold Bottle Caps used for Hyper Training

With all Pokémon Scarlet and Violet competitive strategies, Effort Values (EV), Individual Values (IV), and types of Natures are necessary. A spread of 252 HP and 252 Attack EVs is recommended for Tera Raid Battles while using Perrserker. To train up IVs on Perrserker, Bottle Caps that are used for Hyper Training at level 50 can be found in the Delibird Shop for 20,000 Pokédollars or from 5-star raids. Go to Montenevera Town and find the man with the Abomasnow behind the Pokémon Center; he will train up the stats of the Perrserker there. Another important item to maximize attack is Nature Mints in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Give an Adamant Nature Mint to Perrserker if its Nature isn't that one already.

Moves and Held Items

Trainers need to use an Ability Patch or breed their own Galarian Meowth with Unnerve. Once evolved, Perrserker's Hidden Ability in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is Steely Spirit. This ability boosts Steel-type moves by 50%. Additionally, to grow its base attack power for Steel-moves, a Metal Coat needs to be held by Perrserker. This gives even more of an additional buff at around a 20% increase! By going to the Delibird Presents in the high-tech city of Levincia or winning an Auction in Porto Marinada, trainers can easily find the Metal Coat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Finally, the moves Perrserker will need are Taunt, Screech, Helping Hand, and Iron Head.

Secret to One-Shotting

Perrserker Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids

Although trainers have competitive Perrserkers, there needs to be a strategy behind using one for raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. At the beginning of the Tera Raid, trainers should always be "debuffing" the opponent or buffing themselves. To set up with Perrserker, first use Taunt to stop the opposing Pokémon's hazard moves. On turn two, Screech lowers the opponent's defense. On turn three, Cheer, and then if there are multiple Perrserker, use Iron Head consecutively to take out the opposing Pokémon on the next turn. If other Pokémon like Pokémon Scarlet's Koraidon and Pokémon Violet's Iron Valiant is in the battle, use Helping Hand and have them attack instead. Taking out Tera Raid Dens is easier with a Perrserker in a lobby.
