Netflix's new dating show Perfect Match has created a potential love triangle between Shayne Jansen, Mitchell Eason, and Chloe Veitch, and the boys are at each other's throats about it. Perfect Match features reality TV personalities from different shows who go through compatibility challenges while seeking to find their "perfect match." Shayne starred in Love Is Blind season 2, while Mitchell and Chloe were co-stars in The Circle season 2. After Shayne's first match was unsuccessful, he was mutually excited to be put on a date with Chloe when she arrived. The two were beaming together until Mitchell entered and matched with Chloe, which resulted in Shayne having to leave the house.
When the Perfect Match season 1 cast was announced, drama was expected to ensue in regular reality TV fashion. Drama from the show appears to have extended post-filming, however, as Shayne and Mitchell exchanged words on social media. In an Instagram post, the @loveisblindnetflix account shared a video recapping the episode where Shayne talked about how Chloe had kissed Mitchell when they were matched and seemingly happy together.
Mitchell commented on the post, "I kissed a girl and I liked it," to which Shayne responded, "Are those fighting words bro." It got uglier when Mitchell came back by saying, "*I kissed your girl and I liked it."
Shayne Might Come Back To Perfect Match & Match With Chloe Again
The love triangle ended rather quickly as unmatched Perfect Match contestants are forced to leave the house, but Shayne has been hinting at a comeback. Chloe and Mitchell were in a relationship prior to Perfect Match, making their match unsurprising, but they were beginning to experience issues in the latest episodes when Mitchell disclosed he wasn't looking for anything serious. Chloe and Shayne not only meshed well together, but they both have intentions of walking out of the experience in a relationship. Perfect Match allows for contestants to bring in new reality TV stars or bring back ones that have already appeared. If a couple decides to bring Shayne back, it is possible that he wins Chloe over again.
The final batch of Perfect Match episodes have just been released, so viewers are about to find out what will happen with the Shayne, Mitchell, Chloe love triangle, but the words exchanged between the boys indicate there is more to come. Shayne has maintained attention from Love Is Blind, and it would be received well if he succeeds on his second shot at love. It is unclear if Shayne and Mitchell were speaking to each other in a joking manner, but it's hard to tell since they weren't friends on Perfect Match. Additionally, they have both shared plenty of photos on their social media accounts from filming, and none included each other. Although Chloe was wooed by her ex Mitchell, it's unclear if she'll go back to Shayne at this point.
Shayne was clearly hurt by Chloe's decision to kiss and match with Mitchell when he arrived, but he still has a chance. Chloe being selected for a surprise date with an ex made the quick decision she had to make difficult, but she's now had time to think about it. The ending of Shayne's relationship with Natalie on Love Is Blind could potentially have fans wanting to see him come out on top this time. Whether Shayne returns to Perfect Match or if his beef with Mitchell continues will be determined in the final batch of episodes. If Shayne does return and Chloe chooses him over Mitchell, there will likely be more words.
