I told you guys a few months back that Pee-Wee Herman was coming out to play again - and now he's ready for the games to begin!

Actor Paul Reubens has been making a push to get his alter-ego Pee-Wee back into the limelight. In November, Reubens performed a limited engagement of The Pee-Wee Herman Show, the original adult-themed stage show which made the eccentric character famous. While he was hyping that return, Reubens also let it be known that he has plans in the works for not one but TWO Pee-Wee movies: one for kids and one for grownups.

Well kids pay attention, because Pee-Wee's Playhouse: The Movie could be headed your way.Reubens recently spoke with MTV and told them that he has the necessary pieces in place for the Playhouse movie. According to Reubens, "It’s already done, the script is already fully written; It’s ready to shoot."

So what would a Pee-Wee's Playhouse movie entail? Why Pee-Wee leaving the playhouse for an epic adventure, of course!

Seriously, according to Reubens, the film would see Pee-Wee leave the playhouse to embark on a journey through "Puppetland." Naturally there would be puppets involved, but beyond that mum is the word on what the film would cover. If you want to hear Pee-Wee himself pitch the flick, check out this video courtesy of MTV:

I kinda miss Pee-Wee, don't you? I wouldn't mind seeing him return to the big screen (loved Pee-Wee's Big Adventure). That said, I was kinda hoping the adult-themed movie was going to come first, as I feel we 20-30 somethings are the ones who remember our beloved Pee-Wee best. But then again, during the entire TV run of Pee-Wee's Playhouse, we never did learn just what was waiting outside the doors of that whacky house - perhaps it's time that mystery was answered...

What do you think about the notion of Pee-Wee's Playhouse: The Movie? Thumbs up? Thumbs down?
