Peaky Blinders is one of the most popular BBC shows airing today, and this 1900s British gang is entertaining each and every episode. With so many dynamic characters, this show certainly does have its suspense, drama, and violence, with some members of this series shocking fans with each scene.
Whether viewers can't get enough of Tommy Shelby or are in love with everything about Polly, this show certainly has characters that are far more likable than others, and some that are honestly, just pretty unlikable. It's time to stack up these Peaky Blinders against each other and rank them from least to most likable.
Linda Shelby
Considering the violent and merciless nature of this crime family, it says a lot for Linda Shelby to be at the bottom of this list. Of course, there's nothing to inherently like about this character. She's controlling, manipulative, and kind of annoying.
Linda somehow doesn't even bring out the best in Arthur, despite how much he loves her. Rather, Linda drives wedges between members of the Shelby family. At the end of the day, she cares only about herself - and this makes her totally unlikable.
Finn Shelby
Finn is definitely the character that is in the most over his head. He's arrogant, impulsive, overly confident, and makes rash and dumb decisions. While his brothers treat him like a kid, he often shows them good reasons for doing so.
From letting his pride get in the way to blowing strategic plans, Finn is super frustrating, and again, there's nothing that's actually very redeeming about his character. So, he's pretty unlikeable.
John Shelby
It's not a secret where Finn gets his arrogance from. John Shelby also often bites off more than he can chew, and he thinks he's super smart and charming and tough. He butts heads with Thomas for this reason, but he also proves that he can't be trusted as a leader.
While his final moments on the series are super heroic and brave, this is the only scene where fans felt sympathetic or warm towards this character. He's better than his younger brother, but isn't a fan favorite.
Michael Gray
Michael Gray is infatuating, despite how manipulative and power-hungry he is. There's something charming and likable about him, even if he is trying to destroy Tommy Shelby and take over the entire family empire.
For starters, Michael started off as a pretty brave and innocent kid, so maybe fans just aren't ready to give up on him. Still, in this reckless and headstrong group - Michael Gray is definitely more likable than other members of the Shelby family.
Arthur Shelby
Arthur is either the worst character there is or one of the best the show has to offer. He certainly has flaws, and moments that make fans really struggle to have hope in him. Yet Arthur is as loyal and brave as they come, and he actually has a huge heart.
He isn't the best at making patient and good decisions, but his intentions are usually in the right place. He simply has no impulse control, but that doesn't make him unworthy of sympathy. Fans can get behind this character.
Lizzie Stark
Lizzie deserves a medal for putting up with this entire family, and she's likable in the process. From her intelligence to her sarcastic wit and her strong backbone, Lizzie is a powerful woman that has every fan standing behind her.
There's nothing really to not like about Lizzie, so that certainly is worthy of putting her this far up on the list. While she's strong, confident, and authentically herself, she just isn't at the top of everyone's list of favorite characters. But she's still certainly likable.
Polly Gray
Aunt Polly makes some pretty rash and emotional decisions, but everyone can agree that she's one of the best characters on the show. Putting aside the parts that make fans a little weary, Polly is often the glue that keeps the Shelby family together.
Polly is fearless, fierce, smart, strong, and brave. There are so many redeeming qualities about this character, and she's exceptionally wonderful because she doesn't let these 'strong' men walk all over her just because she's a woman. Polly is certainly likable for her strength.
Ada Shelby
There is literally nothing to hate about Ada Shelby, and she brings humor and grace to every scene she's in. She definitely is on the outs when it comes to crime and her family, but that's one thing that's actually redeeming about her.
She certainly can be a bit temperamental, but Ada does everything out of kindness. She's also incredibly witty and strong, and this character cannot help but be liked by every fan of the show.
Grace Burgess
Grace is definitely one of those character deaths that fans will never, ever get over. This character was bold, fierce, witty, intelligent, and just super kind and lovable. Grace always knew what to do, and while she was willing to make tough choices - she always had good intentions.
It's no secret why Tommy fell in love with her - because the audience certainly also did. This character is one of the most likable on the show, and will always have a special place in every fan's heart.
Thomas Shelby
There are certainly dark demons when it comes to Tommy's brain, but there is something so infatuating about this Peaky Blinder. One of the most popular television characters of today, it's seriously impossible not to gravitate towards Thomas, and, well, like him.
He has many, many flaws, but his strengths, bravery, intelligence, and devotion are unmatched by any other character on the show. He always finds a way - regardless of the circumstance. He is the leader of the Shelby family for a reason - and fans can't get enough of this likable character.
