Peaky Blinders is full of characters that are strong, smart, and ambitious, and each of them definitely has their own independence and the goals that are best suited for them. However, the Shelby family has to work together, and some do better than others.
From the main family to the secondary characters to the dangerous outsiders, there are some duos that are bound to succeed and get whatever they set their minds to. By order of the Peaky Blinders, it's time to take a look at the most powerful pairings on this riveting series.
Linda & Esme
Arthur and John's wives are more than resentful about sitting on the sidelines while the men chat and make decisions about all of their lives. These two ladies are both outspoken, bold, and persistent.
Before John's unfortunate and shocking demise or Arthur and Linda's dramatic split, these two women often came together to speak their minds at family meetings and ensure that they were heard. They also agreed to discretely manipulate their husbands - which they did.
Gina & Michael
Both Gina and Michael are extremely greedy and power-hungry, and it's pretty clear that Gina is trying to manipulate Michael into betraying the Shelbys and taking over the business. However, these two bold characters are a convincing duo.
They're cunning, manipulative, confident, and powerful. They aren't afraid to take action and throw their hats in the ring. They know what they're doing, to say the least, and they won't stop until they have it all.
Finn & Isiah
Finn isn't exactly the smartest of the Shelby family, but he and Isiah do have a place in the business. These two young lads are always looking for adventure, and they are a pair that's pretty tight and trusting.
They pretty much go anywhere and do everything with each other, and they take risks and set goals that they want to achieve. They aren't about sitting around, and this pair could be pretty unstoppable if they gave their actions a bit more thought.
Thomas & Grace
Every fan of this show will deeply miss Grace forever and always, especially since they'll never really know what Grace and Thomas could have accomplished together as husband and wife. While Grace started off on the wrong side, these two became inseparable.
They saw eye to eye and filled in each other's weaknesses with their own strengths. Grace wasn't as power-hungry or reckless, but that's what made them the strong couple they were. This duo could have had it all.
Ada & Polly
Ada is a pretty peaceful and likable character, and she's certainly the one in the family that doesn't want much to do with the violence or greed. Polly understands this about Ada, and she's very protective of her.
These two don't let the men step all over them, but they stand tall and make sure that their voices are heard and understood. When the boys need to get back in line, Ada and Polly are always there to bring them back to reality - and they do so together well.
Michael & John
These two cousins have a bit of a complicated relationship, but John is really the one that takes Michael under his wing. He teaches him how to shoot a gun, and he helps Michael when he gets in hot water in multiple situations.
The two are both headstrong and action-oriented, and they definitely get things done, even if Thomas isn't fully aware of it. These two have a silent agreement of resentment and jealousy, but to have each other's backs - even until John's last breath.
Thomas & Arthur
These Shelby brothers don't always see eye-to-eye, and frankly, they are pretty different when it comes to just about anything. However, they are a strong match when it comes to business and protecting their family.
Tommy calls the shots and creates the plans, and Arthur is unafraid to take action and ensure that the plan is carried out. They are often the brains and the brawn of any operation, and they're pretty unstoppable because of this.
John & Arthur
Thomas always had a bit of trouble keeping his brothers in line, and it's because these two headstrong and reckless men were always taking action and prepared to get into any fight. Arthur and John were intimidating, and everyone knew it.
The two of them had a presence about them that no one dared cross, and if they did, they would certainly sort them out. Arthur and John were more similar, and they weren't willing to change who they were or let anyone take advantage of them. Their strength and courage made them pretty powerful together.
Thomas & Alfie
Alfie may be one of the most dangerous characters in the series, and also a villain, but that doesn't mean that Thomas and Alfie didn't work together. They certainly tried to outsmart or manipulate the other, and honesty was rarely in the mix.
However, they accomplished a lot together and took down bigger enemies than themselves. They have an unspoken respect for each other, and shockingly, they helped each other out when it came down to it. If this pair were never at odds, they'd truly be unstoppable.
Thomas & Polly
Polly might be one of the few that truly isn't afraid to cross Thomas or call him out when she doesn't agree. On the other hand, Thomas acts the same way towards Polly. Most tip-toe around both of them, because they're both strong-willed leaders.
However, when these two come together, there really is nothing standing in their way. They keep each other focused, but they're also both the smartest of the bunch - and they know how to deceive and succeed. Thomas and Polly took down Luca Changretta together, and that was only just the beginning.
