By BBC, Peaky Blinders is a British crime drama show that follows a gangster family in the 1920s. This historical, intense, brilliant drama series centers on Tommy Shelby, an unstable but business-genius war veteran. He becomes the family crime boss and hopes to build the most successful underground business in Birmingham with the help of his two brothers, aunt, and friends. As bookmakers, gangsters, and racketeers, the Shelbys run Birmingham, but Tommy insists on expanding his territory.

This show is filled with edge-of-your-seat fights, some pretty impressive business moves, and intense family dynamics. Not only is this show brilliant for all of these reasons, but there's no denying its stellar costume choices. Why did people stop dressing like people from 1900 Britain? By order of the Peaky Blinders, here are the 10 best costumes of the show, ranked.

May Carleton's Fur Coat & Cloche Hat

May Carleton slays in pretty much anything she wears, but this strong woman knows how to pull off a fur coat and a cloche hat better than anyone else (except maybe our girl, Ada). While May tries her best to play hard to get, she can't quite ditch Tommy's attention with her impeccable and bold style. She's probably tending to her horses, but we're sure she's still looking great doing it.

Tommy Shelby's I'm-Not-a-Criminal Business Look

Tommy becomes a major dad as the series progresses, and he's killing those glasses (let's forget his cranium was smashed into pieces and that's why he needs them). This tweed three-piece suit all ties together with his white collar shirt and silver specs, and honestly, we're all ready to make a business deal with Tommy in this suit.

This is probably the classiest look he styles throughout the series, and it's safe to say we all want more of it.

Alfie Solomons's Brimmed Hat

While Alfie is definitely not known for his fashion sense throughout the series, we couldn't ignore this gorgeous hat, classy suit, and silver pocket watch. Alfie may spend the majority of the show deranged, drunk, or dying, but he pulled it together to pull off this look. Tom Hardy nails Alfie's character (seriously, he's absolutely genius at playing a terrifying-yet-strangely-calm Jewish man), and in this outfit, we can appreciate his charm, badassery, and good looks.

The Shelby Brothers' Tweed Suits

Nobody can deny that all three Shelby brothers slay this series with their ability to wear (and always match?) stellar suits that really drive home the don't-f**k-with-us kind of vibe. Yet in these grey, tweed three-piece suits and their classic hats (although we prefer them to keep those razor blades hidden), these men are killing the game.

We see the Shelby brothers sporting all kinds of suits throughout the series, but this tweed look is definitely one of our favorites. On behalf of everybody everywhere, we're confident you got a crush on at least one of these handsome gangsters.

Polly Gray's I'm-A-Business-Woman Look

Polly definitely isn't afraid to wear bold and brilliant outfits. From a sleek black dress to a plush fur coat, she rocks pretty much anything and manages to always look tough as nails and ready for business. It was hard to choose her best look, but this simple business attire embodies everything Polly is about: business, leadership, and strength. The boys may have their razor blades, but Polly could kill with this look, and we're not going to push our luck.

The Shelby Men at Tommy's Wedding

We've already discussed that the men are slaying the game, but seriously, it's impossible to leave Tommy's wedding off this list. These blue suits not only match with adorable class, but they look spiff, professional, and powerful as hell. This look doesn't exactly contrast modern day too much, but somehow these British gangsters pull it off to an incredible degree.

Their wedding planner must have been killer, but I guess being a racketeer/businessman/crime boss lets you hire anyone you want, right?

The Peaky Blinders' Ready-to-Go Dark Suits

The Shelby brothers had to appear at least twice on this list, and of course, their "we're-ready-to-go" suits had to make the cut. The Shelbys have Birmingham in their pockets and it's pretty clear to see why that is. These sleek, immaculate suits are just as dark as their business, and they're killing them. Tall, dark, and handsome embodies these men to a tee. These suits may mean they're about to kick some ass, but they're going to look immaculately professional as they do it. As much as we love this look, we're going to admire it from afar.

Grace's Detective Look

Grace's beauty is undeniable, and honestly, it was hard not to make this list entirely about her. While she pulled off a barmaid's outfit and fancy dresses, her undercover look has us slain. That brimmed hats and tweed coat have her looking professional and brilliant (and not at all suspicious).

We all wish we could pull off a purple suit and broad-brimmed hat like Grace, and for that reason, she definitely deserved this spot on the list. We miss you, Grace.

The Women-Power Look

Linda, Ada, Lizzie, and Polly walking down the street in Peaky Blinders

Although the men are usually the center-of-attention of the series, there is no denying that the women are as badass and tough as their male counterparts. These outfits say nothing more than women power, and we're all over it. A little cold weather won't stop these ladies from pursuing their rights and making a stand. We're loving the cloche hats and trench coats, and again, we're praying for this show to bring back 1900 England fashion. These women are slaying those outfits and this series, but unfortunately, we could only pick one stellar look.

Tommy's Trench Coat

Although this show is absolutely jam-packed with brilliant costumes (here's a nod to costume designer, Stephanie Collie, you ROCK it), there is absolutely no way that Tommy's infamous trench coat couldn't take the top spot of this list. Not only does this look mean that some Tommy-awesomeness is about to come your way, but he kills this beautiful coat, and we're not sure it could look better on anyone else (we see you, Cillian Murphy). As a Peaky Blinders fan, you can't deny this trench coat gives you chills every time you see it, and you also can't deny that it's one hell of a coat. Tommy Shelby is one of the most dynamic and badass characters on television, and we sure hope he's bringing back the trench coat.
