HBO Max unveils a new Peacemaker clip highlighting Project Butterfly team member Emilia Harcourt and teasing a fight between her and Judomaster. Jennifer Holland first brought the character to life in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad as an NSA agent working as the aide to Amanda Waller as she builds a new team and sends them to the fictional South American island of Corto Maltese to kill Starro the Conqueror. Harcourt was set up for a bigger role in the film's post-credits sequence in which John Cena's Peacemaker was revealed to have survived being shot and left for dead by Idris Elba's Bloodsport, having to recruit him for a new mission to save the world.

Cena and Holland return with fellow Suicide Squad star Steve Agee for Peacemaker alongside franchise newcomers Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Nhut Le and Lochlyn Munro. The first DC Extended Universe series will explore the titular character's origin story as well as his continuing missions following the events of The Suicide Squad. Gunn developed and wrote all eight episodes during post-production on his DCEU debut and directed five of its eight episodes, wrapping production on Peacemaker in July 2021 after beginning that January.

With less than a week remaining until its premiere, HBO Max has debuted a new Peacemaker clip. The featurette highlights Jennifer Holland's Emilia Harcourt and her bigger role in the DCEU series, including a fight between her and Judomaster. Check out the new clip below:

Holland's Emilia Harcourt was an interesting continuation for Peacemaker from the events of The Suicide Squad, namely as she remained on the sidelines alongside Agee's John Economos in the film monitoring the team's activities. The new Peacemaker clip offers some exciting footage of the character getting further expansion and screen time, as well as her own chance to shine in action sequences alongside Cena's titular antihero. The most interesting bit of the video is certainly a glimpse of Harcourt fighting Judomaster one-on-one, namely in that much about the character's inclusion in the series is still largely unknown.

Judomaster isn't the only unknown regarding the series as previous trailers and marketing for Peacemaker has left any overarching antagonist for the series a secret at the time of writing. Given the show is set to explore the origins of Cena's character as much as introduce and further explore the rest of his team, the story may be best suited without having a central villain and instead saving such an element for Gunn's potential season 2. The wait for Peacemaker is nearly over as the series arrives on HBO Max on January 13 with its first three episodes, with the remaining five airing on a weekly basis.
