Patamon is one of the original Digimon that players can befriend in Digimon Survive, the newest JRPG-style Digimon game in the series. Digimon Survive follows Takuma Momozuka and his partner and fellow Digimon original Agumon as they find themselves in an alternate world inhabited by Digimon. Patamon, like other Digimon that are encountered in the game, can be befriended during an encounter.
Patamon is one of the Digimon that players can earn by befriending them in conversation, though it will be harder to find it in the wild. While Patamon may be encountered early in the game, its more likely that it will appear after Part 3 in a Free Battle. Once Patamon appears, players who want to befriend them will need to have a conversation with it; Digimon have different personalities, so knowing how to answer Patamon's questions will make it easier to befriend.
To befriend and get Patamon in Digimon Survive, players need to earn at least three points by answering questions that appeal to their self-centered and risk-taking side. If players have already encountered and befriended Biyomon in Digimon Survive, they will recognize that the questions are the same.
How To Befriend Patamon In Digimon Survive
Once players encounter Patamon in a Free Battle, have a conversation with it instead of fighting. At various points in the conversation, players will need to answer questions; there are four answer choices for each question, and they are worth a variable amount of points. Since Patamon values selfishness, players should give similarly styled answer choices. Below are the possible questions and best answer choices to give when trying to befriend Patamon in Digimon Survive:
- Question: Whenever I meet a scary monster, I just start apologizing. Weird, right? | Answer: You don’t wanna fight.
- Question: Someday I'm gonna run this joint! | Answer: Let me work for you!
- Question: What's the most important thing to you? | Answer: Myself
- Question: Why are leaves green? | Answer: Can’t say, really.
- Question: What do you do for fun? | Answer: Climbing trees.
- Question: I don't care how tough you are, I'm not gonna lose! | Answer: I’m not gonna lose!
- Question: Have you ever told a lie? | Answer: Once, for a friend.
Players only need to earn 3 or more points, and each correct answer will earn two points, so it should not be too difficult to befriend Patamon and add it to the team in Digimon Survive. Patamon is a rare encounter, so if players find it out in the wild, they should consider befriending it.
