One of the most looked forward to competitions during a Big Brother season is the OTEV competition. OTEV, which is simply veto spelled backward, is a Power of Veto competition that takes place every season. While nearly all the houseguest's dream of competing in OTEV, very few have been the lucky ones to say they won the fan favorite competition.
The current season of Big Brother has been full of gameplay, lies, blindsides, and even some controversies. Last week, following Nicole Layog's blindside eviction, the remaining houseguests tested their balance and speed in the Head of Household competition. Michael Bruner walked away with the power for the week, which was a major win for his Leftovers alliance. At the nomination ceremony, Michael nominated the Festie Bestie trio of Joseph Abdin, Monte Taylor, and Terrance Higgins, but Michael had bigger game moves in mind for eviction night.
Not only did the houseguests want to play in the POV competition this week to win the Veto but also because of how beloved the OTEV competition is amongst Big Brother fans. Michael was the houseguest lucky enough to win the OTEV competition this week. He now joins a long list of past houseguests who also won this sought-after competition. When the OTEV competition first originated during season 7, Big Brother legend Janelle Pierzina took home the Veto. She was the first of many to win the beloved competition. Just last season, Alyssa Lopez, who was the last remaining houseguest prior to the Cookout's victory, won OTEV as well (via Big Brother Fandom).
A ton of big players also won the competition in between Janelle and Alyssa's wins, some of which even went on to win their Big Brother season. Past winners Dan Gheesling and Cody Calafiore were both champions of OTEV. Ryan Quicksall, Enzo Palumbo, Adam Poch, Liz Nolan, and Tyler Crispen not only won OTEV but also came in second or third place in their seasons. Other OTEV winners include Eric Stein, Jeff Schroeder, Elissa Slater, Zach Rance, Michelle Meyer, Mark Jansen, and Tommy Bracco.
The most recent houseguest to take home the title of winning the OTEV competition is current HOH Michael. All Big Brother super fans know how awesome it is for a fellow super fan to get to compete in the OTEV competition. Not only did a super fan get the opportunity to compete in OTEV this week, but he also won. Michael has won a lot of POV competitions so far this summer, but there is no doubt the Big Brother super fan in him was most excited about this win.
