A new gameplay trailer for Party Animals has dropped in the Xbox & Bethesda E3 showcase, showing off more maps and weaponry players will be able to get their fluffy paws on when the game releases. In previous years, crazy physics-based games such as Human Fall Flat and Fall Guys have found popularity both as games and entertainment, fueling Twitch streams and YouTube videos from a wide variety of content creators. The physics game craze can be traced all the way back to 2014 when Goat Simulator first released and took the internet by storm, followed a few months later by the early access release for Gang Beasts, a game that looks to be a major influence on this new title.

The development studio behind the game, Recreate Games, and its owner/publisher Source Technology, are taking their first steps into the game industry with Party Animals. PC Players will remember the title from the Steam Game Festivals back in 2020, which featured a limited-time playable demo of the game while it was still in development. Now, from the E3 presentation on June 13, we know that not only will the game be released on new Xbox consoles, it will also be available on Game Pass from day one. This marks yet another anticipated game joining Game Pass, which continues to consistently improve its own value over time.

Party Animals is a multiplayer physics-based brawler akin to Gang Beasts. Players take control of glorified ragdolls to try to knock each other out of the arena using a variety of weapons and attacks. The game's selection of characters features a cute lineup of fluffy bipedal animals from corgis to tigers to dinosaurs in a host of bright and colorful environments that each have their share of dangers for players to take advantage of. Using weapons such as bats and tasers, the goal of the game is knocking other players out of the arena, whether it be temporarily stunning them and throwing them into a furnace or batting them into a pit, using the game's chaotic physics to their advantage.

The latest trailer also showed the addition of other game modes to twist the formula in different ways for added chaos, along with a series of new weapons and maps that haven't been shown until now. Despite all of these reveals for the game, the ridiculous physics system still stands as the highlight of the experience. The game is currently slated for a 2022 release date with no other specific pinned down yet, meaning there's still plenty of time to show more of these announcements for the game in detail over the coming months.

The game's cute aesthetics shown at E3 paired with the ridiculously realistic physics engine seems to be a recipe for success in the party games market, and excitement for the title has only grown from the latest trailer. Microsoft continues to bolster its subscription service, providing this game and several others on day one for Game Pass subscribers. With its inclusion in Microsoft's Game Pass, the game will no doubt benefit from a much larger player base at launch, marking Party Animals as possibly the next big party game to hit the video game market.
