Parks and Recreation was on the air from 2009 to 2015 and Amy Poehler starred as Leslie Knope, who worked in the Parks Department of Pawnee, Indiana. The other main characters worked alongside her, but they were more than just coworkers. The characters feel like a cute and quirky little family.
It won nominations, awards and the title of the best series of the year, thanks to TIME magazine. Yes, this series had quite the following, but where else have these actors and actresses been seen? Amy Poehler
Amy Poehler has been acting since the '90s, and some of her early notable roles include appearing in Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and rising to fame on Saturday Night Live. Of course, she is Susie in the Wet Hot American Summer shows and films, and she was in Mean Girls as Mrs. George, which is an iconic role. Poehler has been in a good deal of comedy flicks, such as Blades of Glory, Baby Mama and Wine Country, and she also voiced Joy in the animated movie Inside Out.
To many, though, she will always be the waffle-loving Leslie Knope of the Parks and Rec department.
Nick Offerman
Nick Offerman has also been acting since the 1990s, appearing on TV shows like ER, The West Wing, The Practice, 24, George Lopez, Gilmore Girls, Children's Hospital, Fargo Will & Grace and Good Omens. His film credits include Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous, 21 Jump Street, We're the Millers, 22 Jump Street and The Little Hours.
Fans of his should be excited about his upcoming work, which includes the film Lucy in the Sky with Natalie Portman and Jon Hamm and an animated series called The Great North, which will also feature Jenny Slate and Will Forte. Aubrey Plaza
Aubrey Plaza did some shorts in 2006 before she went on to be in shows like Portlandia and movies like Funny People, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Safety Not Guaranteed. In recent years, the young actress appeared in Castle, Ingrid Goes West, The Little Hours (a movie that Nick Offerman made an appearance in, as well), Criminal Minds, Legion and the new Child's Play flick.
Her dry and sarcastic humor, seen through her character April, has been featured in many of these other works, but she offers up much more than just that, as seen through her range of acting credits.
Chris Pratt
Chris Pratt has had some really big roles over the years. On Everwood, he was Bright Abbott. On The O.C., he was Ché. He has been in several rom-com movies, such as portraying Fletcher in Bride Wars, Alex Eilhauer in The Five-Year Engagement and Disgusting Donald in What's Your Number? (a film that starred his ex-wife, Anna Faris).

Aziz Ansari
One of Aziz Ansari’s first acting credits was a classmate in School for Scoundrels. From there, he went on to be on shows like Scrubs, The League and Master of None and in movies like Observe and Report, I Love You, Man, Get Him to the Greek and This Is The End. His most recent role was voicing Darryl in the hit animated series Bob's Burgers.

Jim O'Heir was in the '90s sports/animal flick Ed. He appeared on Party of Five as Plumber #1. One of Retta's first roles was in Slackers, as she played Bruna, the Office Manager. She played a hardware store clerk on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. In a movie called Father Figures, her character’s name was Annie. On the series Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, she was Barbara.
Most recently, she has appeared alongside Christina Hendricks and Mae Whitman in a TV show called Good Girls, and her character in this exciting story is named Ruby Hill. However, won’t she always be thought of as Donna Meagle?
Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones has been on TV shows such as Freaks and Geeks, Boston Public, Chappelle's Show, Web Therapy and Black-ish. She has been in films like I Love You, Man, The Social Network, Our Idiot Brother and Celeste & Jesse Forever. Oh, and (of course) Jones portrayed Karen Filippelli in The Office.
Fans can expect to see/hear her in animated works like Spies in Disguise with Tom Holland, Ben Mendelsohn and Will Smith and Klaus with Joan Cusack and J.K. Simmons, as well as in On the Rocks with Jenny Slate and Bill Murray and Duncanville with Ty Burrell and Wiz Khalifa. Yes, she has quite the resume.
Adam Scott
Beginning in the 1990s, Adam Scott was in things like ER, Boy Meets World, Party of Five, CSI: Miami and Veronica Mars, as well as, of course, Parks and Rec, in which he played Ben Wyatt. Rob Lowe
Rob Lowe's first acting credit, according to IMDb, was in 1979; in A New Kind of Family, he was Tony Flanagan. From there, he appeared in The Outsiders as Sodapop Curtis and in St. Elmo's Fire as Billy Hicks. On TV, he was on The West Wing, Californication and The Orville. His other movies include titles such as Wayne's World and Super Troopers 2.
