April Ludgate and Andy Dwyer were the weird couple no one knew they needed from Parks and RecreationMost viewers were so obsessed with Leslie Knope's rise to fame in the Pawnee Parks and Rec. Department — along with her budding romance with Ben Wyatt — that we didn't notice the romance blossoming between Andy and April.

Now that Parks and Rec. has been off the air for four years, we have all the time in the world to rewatch episodes of our favorite Parks and Rec. department. Something that's glaringly obvious is how much April has liked Andy from the start. From longing eyes to helping him with his shoe-shine business, April has always had Andy on the brain. While it took a few seasons for Andy to realize he liked April too, there was nothing standing in their way once they finally got together.

Although these two weren't as "put-together" as Leslie and Ben or even as Chris and Ann, they had their own quirky relationship that was a combination of downright weird and adorable.

WHEN ANDY MAILED APRIL HIS LAUNDRY

Andy and April go through a long-distance relationship a few times in the show, but it all started when April followed Ben to DC to help him with the congressional campaign. Openly missing Andy like crazy while in DC, Andy sent April a sweet care-package.

Inside the box was a note, a picture of their three-legged dog named Champion, and Andy's laundry. Apparently, his dirty clothes are only clean and smell nice when April does it... Would this fly in any other relationship outside of the imaginary town of Pawnee? That's a hard no.

THE FACT THAT THEY EAT THEIR MEALS OFF A FRISBEE (SHARING A FORK)

No one really wondered how Andy and April's home life was before Ben moved in. Since Andy and April needed the money (and had space), they offered to let Ben live with them for a while until he found his own place. Ben was in for a rude awakening when he woke up to them sharing chili for breakfast... They literally served it in a frisbee because they didn't have clean plates or bowls. They also only had one fork, which they also shared.

THEIR ENTIRE WEDDING

In the episode "April and Andy's Fancy Party," the couple hands out invites to a party at their house. As guests arrive, they soon realize it's not just any party — they're attending a surprise wedding on behalf of the couple.

Leslie is horrified by the wedding because the couple have only been together for a month, but she can't stop true love. As April said to Andy, "I guess I kind of hate most things. But I never really seem to hate you. So I want to spend the rest of my life with you, is that cool?" And that's about all you need to know about them.

WHEN THEY CHEWED THE SAME GUM...

April and Andy sharing their gum in Parks and Recreation

Andy and April are unique, to say the least. Andy was super lazy for a while before he realized what he wanted to do in life. Most of the time, Andy doesn't even really understand what people are talking about. With April, she helps him find his purpose and clues him in on the world around them. And as sweet and supportive as these two are in that sense, it's still weird AF to share chewing gum — which is another quirk these two share from time to time.

JANET SNAKEHOLE X BURT MACKLIN

In an attempt to spice things up at the Tom's Snake Juice premiere, April and Andy dress up as a form of role-play. Andy dresses as his undercover character, Burt Macklin, while April goes as a woman named Janet Snakehole.

Snakehole is a "very rich woman with a terrible secret," while Macklin is an FBI agent who was framed for a crime he didn't commit. Together, these two portray these roles at parties or to spice things up. It's normal for couples to role-play, of course, but no one does it quite like Burt and Janet.

WHO TF WAS PAYING THEIR BILLS?

When April and Andy first got together, they moved in with Andy's bandmate, Burly. However, Burly eventually moved out and left all the housing responsibilities to Andy and April. But, uh, considering these two eat food off of frisbees, it was clear they had no idea how to run a household. When Ben eventually moved in with April and Andy, he soon found out dishes weren't their only problem. They barely had any furniture and Andy put all the bills in the freezer to keep them safe... Well, if they were freezing in the freezer, then who the heck was paying their bills!? How were their lights and electricity on?

WHEN THEY HELD LESLIE'S DEBATE AT THEIR HUMBLE ABODE

In an attempt to help Leslie's campaign, April and Andy hold a viewing party of her debate with Bobby Newport at their home. Now, knowing some high-rollers were going to be at there watching, it's surprising Leslie allowed them to take on this kind of responsibility.

As people began arriving, the viewing party was a bust because Andy forgot to pay the cable bill. This led to Andy trying to entertain by acting out his favorite movie scenes and April trying hard to "fit in" with classy guests.

APRIL'S LUCKY CHARM FOR ANDY

It's clear that only April is suited to win Andy's heart. Every time we think Andy's going to be creeped out by April's behavior, he falls deeper in love with her.

On the big day of his police exam, April gives Andy a gift to calm his nerves. But it wasn't just any gift — it was a dead rabbit. After finding it on the side of the road, April got it stuffed and chopped off its feet to give to Andy. Was Andy confused at the gesture? No – he loved it and said he'd keep it forever.

THE CREEPY HOUSE THEY BOUGHT

One of April and Andy's biggest fears is growing into old, boring people. Their fears were put aside after they saw a creepy, old house for sale. They found out the abandoned house used to be a place for people who have gone mad. Andy and April didn't need to hear more — they bought the house.

THEIR SON'S FULL NAME

Chris Pratt Aubrey Plaza

In the final season of Parks and Recreation, we find out Andy and April are yearning for a baby (which seemed very unlike them). April eventually gets pregnant and gives birth to a baby boy: Jack. So where did they get the name Jack Dwyer from? Jack is actually a nickname to a much longer — and weirder —name: Burt Snakehole Ludgate Karate Dracula Macklin Demon Jack-o-Lantern Dwyer. It doesn't get much weirder than that.
