Paris Hilton has always loved being famous, but sometimes the Paris In Love star needs a break from all the paparazzi following her around. Paris has no problem putting her personal life out there; the star has had a total of five reality tv shows, including The Simple Life, Paris Hilton's My New BFF, and her current series, Paris In Love. Cameras have followed Paris to the midwest, where she gave up her luxurious lifestyle alongside best friend Nicole Richie, all the way to her wedding day. She even launched her own YouTube mini-series called My Dream Honeymoon, where cameras followed her and husband Carter Reum on their honeymoon world tour.
However, sometimes Paris needs some time off from being spotted in public. The star has admitted in the past that she occasionally goes in public with a wig on to conceal her identity, and she isn't the only one. Many celebrities have successfully and unsuccessfully hidden their identity when out in public. The Kardashians once hopped on a Hollywood tour bus disguised as older women, complete with wigs and prosthetic noses. While Justin Bieber was seen in a not-so-subtle goatee and messy wig that may have just drawn more attention to him. Though the oddest may have been when Taylor Swift was rumored to have been hiding in a suitcase carried to her car by two bodyguards, an extreme most celebrities haven't tried out.
Paris has not admitted to trying that method, but she does have a sneaky way of avoiding paparazzi. On a recent episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show, the talk show host and Paris played a game called "Paris Blanking Hilton," in which Ellen read the star a few quick sentences, and Paris had to fill in the blank with her answer. In one of the sentences, the heiress had to reveal her best trick to avoiding the paparazzi. "Sometimes I send my friend out in a blonde wig, big sunglasses, and like a tracksuit," Paris explained. "And they'd run in the car, and then I'd go out a back way in a brown wig."
Ellen continued the conversation on wigs asking Paris how many she has to which the star admitted she has hundreds. Paris explained she doesn't typically wear anything too attention-seeking, like a pink wig, but sticks to more natural colors like red or black. According to the host, singer Dolly Parton gives her wigs names, and despite admitting "that's cute," Paris does not share Dolly's wig-naming habit. The star simply laughed before admitting to being a fan of the country singer, saying, "I love her."
Hopefully, no paparazzi were watching the episode when Paris gave away her secret. Otherwise, she might have to come up with a new trick if she wants to stay hidden. While she seems pretty opposed to joining Dolly Parton in naming her wigs, the Paris In Love star may have to take a page out of Taylor Swift's celebrity handbook and hideaway in a suitcase. Surely the paparazzi would never catch her in there.
