Lindsay Lohan recalls a hilarious exchange with former Disney CEO Michael Eisner after he thought she had a twin in The Parent Trap. A reboot of Disney's 1961 classic by the same name, 1998's The Parent Trap saw Lohan star as Hallie and Annie, two identical twins who were separated at birth after their parents split. Raised on separate continents, the two cross paths at summer camp, where the pair then hatch a master plan to reunite their parents. Lohan famously starred as both twins, while Natasha Richardson and Dennis Quaid starred as their mother and father.

Lohan's performance as young Hallie and Annie was so believable that it appears that not everyone was aware she had played both parts, as the star now hilariously recalls. During a recent interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, Lohan revealed how, at the premiere of The Parent Trap, she was approached by Eisner, Disney's CEO at the time, who asked her where her twin was. Lohan then shared how she quipped that she should have been compensated for both roles, given that she didn't have a twin. Check out Lohan's quote below.

At the premiere, Michael Eisner, who was at Disney at the time, he said “Where’s your twin?” I was like “I don’t have a twin, you should have paid me double!” And I’ll never forget that! I actually said that.

Could The Parent Trap 2 Ever Happen?

As one of Disney's most beloved live-action classics, The Parent Trap has been at the center of various reboot discussions. Quaid previously shared that he would be down to reprise his role as Nick Parker, while another of the film's stars, Elaine Hendrix, who plays the iconic Meredith Blake, had a more mixed response. Hendrix shared that while she believes that The Parent Trap should be left alone, she would be more than up for returning if a reboot were to get the go-ahead. Despite the eagerness from the film's stars, a reboot of The Parent Trap would feel somewhat incomplete without Richardson, who sadly passed away in 2009, though, as of right now, it's not known whether Disney has any current plans for The Parent Trap 2.

With Lohan having recently made her official return to acting in Netflix's Falling for Christmas, many are delighted to see the star back on screens after having had such a significant role in some of the '00s most iconic films. Lohan's return has seen the conversation almost immediately turn to reboots, though the star hasn't yet expressed whether she would be interested in returning for The Parent Trap 2. Lohan's upcoming slate currently remains unclear, although most recently, it was revealed that Jamie Lee Curtis is actively pushing for a Freaky Friday 2, with Lohan having also expressed her desire to reunite with her on-screen mom.
