The Parent Trap actresses Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter reunited on TikTok to recreate one of the film's most iconic scenes. The 1998 family comedy, which is a remake of the 1961 movie of the same title, launched Lindsay Lohan's career as a promising child actress. She played twin sisters Hallie Parker and Annie James who were separated at birth following their parents' (Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson) bitter split. By a twist of fate, Hallie and Annie meet at a summer camp years later and, after realizing their connection, devise a scheme to reunite their mom and dad.

Fans of the movie know Hendrix for playing Meredith Blake, Annie and Hallie's young and ill-equipped stepmom-to-be. Walter portrayed the girls' doting housekeeper and nanny, Chessy. The movie's hilarious and loveable story made The Parent Trap one of the most memorable feel-good family movies of the time. More than 20 years since its release, fans have been clamoring for a cast reunion, and it finally happened last year when the stars held a virtual reunion for charity amid the surge of COVID-19. Lohan, Quaid, Hendrix, and Walter all participated in the event along with director Nancy Meyers.

Now, Hendrix and Walter have given fans another Parent Trap mini-reunion by reenacting their iconic scene from the classic movie. The video, posted on Hendrix's TikTok and Instagram accounts, shows the now 50-year-old actress sitting on a balcony as she rings a bell and calls out Meredith Blake's memorable line, "Chessy! It's such a big household. Chessy!" The camera pans to reveal Walter, who answers the bell with her original response, "You rang?" Meredith and Chessy's get-together sent fans back to 1998 and reminded them of the movie's many adorable moments. The scene was lifted from a savage moment between Meredith and Chessy, who enjoyed a low-key antagonistic relationship in the film. Meredith was a young socialite who didn't want to be a stepmother to the two teenage girls. Chessy was a mother figure who knew of Meredith's social-climbing plan from the start. While their characters were often at odds, Hendrix and Walter have a loving friendship in real life. Last month, Hendrix even greeted Walter on her birthday and called her co-star her "ride or die."

Given their real-life connection, it's not hard to guess why the actresses were hanging out in the same location. But in a time of reboots and revivals, some are taking Hendrix and Walter's get-together as a possible sign that a long-awaited Parent Trap remake may be in the works. Other 90s classics have already blessed fans with exciting reunions, as seen with Friends and the upcoming Sex and the City series. While there is no news of a new The Parent Trap project so far, fans can always hope.
