'Paranormal Activity 3' & 'Immortals' TV Spots & Featurettes: Ghosts & Gods

featurettes clips trailers paranormal activity 3 immortals

Today we have new promo videos for two very different projects that are coming to theaters this fall season - Paranormal Activity 3, the third entry in the popular haunted house franchise, and Immortals, director Tarsem Singh's (The Cell) sword-and-sandals epic.

For PA3 we have a new creepy TV spot featuring the threequel's young protagonists and the many jump scare scenarios concocted by Catfish duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. For Immortals, we've got a new featurette about the plight of the film's hero, Theseus (Henry Cavill), as well as a new TV clip showcasing the film's action, which is shot in 3d and seems well-suited to Tarsem Singh's unique visual style.

Paranormal Activity 3 takes us back to 1988 to explore the mysterious past of sisters Kristi and Katie, who were the victims of a demonic attack in PA 1&2, respectively. The prequel promises to reveal what events led to the tragic outcomes of the preceding chapters, and if early reviews are any indication, the film does its job well enough.

Check out a brief synopsis for Singh's sword-and-sandals epic below, and then watch the latest featurette and TV clip:

Theseus is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.

While this film may seem derivative of similar stylistic Greek myth epics (see: 300), Singh's visual flair is, in itself, worth a trip to the theater to take in on the big screen. There will also be a lot of interest in how Henry Cavill handles a leading role in an action film, as the actor is slated to portray Superman on the big screen in 300 director Zack Snyder's reboot film, Man of Steel.

You can check out Paranormal Activity 3 in theaters on October 21, 2011.

Immortals will follow in 2D or 3D theaters on November 11, 2011.
