Season of the Chosen, Destiny 2's latest release, has brought back a fan-favorite weapon from Destiny 1. The Beyond Light DLC has added a slew of new missions, weapons, and collectibles to the game and presented players with challenging nightfall raids. The Palindrome has returned to Destiny cannon alongside two other high-powered weapons from the original game, Shadow Price and The Swarm.

Increasing your light level is the key to success in the more challenging PvE modes, especially the weekly Nightfall. Season of the Guardian has introduced these new weapons into the rotational loot pool, so players will need to gather their fireteams until everyone gets the gear they desire. Prepare for a tough challenge ahead. Here's is how to unlock the Palindrome in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 - How to Unlock the Palindrome

Destiny 2 The Palindrome

To unlock the Palindrome, players will have to obtain it as a loot drop upon completing the Weekly Nightfall: The Ordeal Strike. Keep in mind that The Palindrome will rotate week to week with Shadow Prive and The Swarm. Players will want to keep track of what they obtained between weeks until they eventually get the Palindrome. If they were rewarded with The Swarm this week, they might be rewarded with The Palindrome next week or the week after.

It's also not a guarantee that the weapons will drop after a single completion of the Nightfall. Players will want to run The Ordeal Strike as many times as they desire until they get the gear they're looking for. Thankfully, grinding the Nightfall is a great way to obtain other equipment and items in-game.

The Palindrome is a Void Hand Cannon firing at 140 RPM. Fans of the weapon remember the Luck in the Chamber perk from Destiny 1, which caused one bullet per magazine to generate significantly more damage. This, unfortunately, is not an available perk on The Palindrome in Destiny 2. Instead, the weapon comes with the Bottomless Grief perk. While players are the last surviving member of their fireteam, Bottomless Grief will refill the magazine upon killing enemies. While Bottomless Grief may help complete stages of PvE missions while waiting for fellow Guardians to respawn, it doesn't sound like it will bode too well in The Crucible. While lone guardians may take down two remaining enemies with the aid of Bottomless Grief, taking on an entire fireteam will be a different story.

Destiny 2 will continue to roll out new updates and content in the coming future. players are already excited for The Season of The Chosen. It seems to be a trending theme to bring back old Destiny 1 guns with new perks and stats. Players that have been around since day one will appreciate all the reminiscent call-backs that Destiny 2 offers them. Gather the fireteam and grind the Nightfall: The Ordeal to find some old-school weapons in Destiny 2.
