The first trailer for Ozark season 4 part 2 teases the conclusion of the Byrde family's story and confirms an April 2022 release date on Netflix. In the years since its debut in 2017, Ozark has become one of Netflix's many hit original shows. It follows Marty and Wendy Byrde, played by Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, as they navigate the unexpected life changes that come with laundering money. Despite its continued success and awards recognition, Ozark season 4 is set to be the end of the series.

Netflix increased the episode count for Ozark season 4 to 14 episodes, which meant splitting up the release into two parts. Ozark season 4 part 1 was finally released on Netflix on January 21, 2022. The seven episodes showed the Byrde's deal with the latest complications that came with working for the Navarro Cartel. This included the introduction of Navarro's nephew Javi (Alfonso Herrera), who quickly established himself as a dangerous figurehead for the cartel. Of course, the Byrde's also had their own family drama to work through, such as Jonah (Skylar Gaertner) starting to work for Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) and Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery). Ozark season 4 part 1's ending also shook up what viewers could expect to see in part 2.

Now, Netflix has officially announced when Ozark season 4 part 2 will be released thanks to a short teaser trailer for the final 7 episodes. The trailer primarily focuses on Ruth Langmore and her belief that she is a cursed Langmore. At the end of the teaser trailer, it is revealed that Ozark season 4 part 2 releases on April 29, 2022. Netflix also released a teaser poster for the final Ozark episodes. Check out the date announcement trailer and teaser poster below:

As indicated by the Ozark season 4 part 2 trailer, the April 2022 release date might be sooner than many viewers expected. Fans of the crime thriller waited nearly two years between the releases of season 3 and season 4 part 1. Netflix significantly cut down the wait time to see how the Byrde family's story will end by giving Ozark season 4 part 2 a release date three months after part 1. It's a strategy that the streaming service plans to do more of, as Stranger Things season 4 also will be released in two parts that air five weeks apart.

In terms of what the Ozark season 4 part 2 trailer shows, the heavy focus on Ruth is significant and not terribly surprising. Ozark season 4 part 1 ended with the death of her cousin Wyatt Langmore (Charlie Tahan) and Darlene. Now that Ruth has lost the last person she really cared about, Ozark season 4 part 2 can pick up where part 1 left off as she goes to get revenge on Javi. Between Ruth's vengeful plans, the Byrde's looking to escape the cartel, and Javi's reposition as the leader of the cartel, Ozark season 4 part 2 should be in a great position to wrap up this story in an exciting and unexpected fashion.
