Netflix teased fans with first look photos for the fourth and final season of their original crime-drama series Ozark. Starting in Chicago, the series sees Jason Bateman and Laura Linney taking on the roles of couple Marty and Wendy Byrde. Their family is uprooted to the Lake of the Ozarks to continue money laundering for the Mexican Cartel after Marty's previous operations go awry. The Netflix series shows the Byrde children's struggle living in a new location while attempting to come to terms with the reality of their father's business that their mother eventually joins to better protect their family from investigating officials and other crime families.

The intense ending of season 3 with a surprise death and a punch-in-the-gut hair-raiser subtly reveals that the Brydes are in even deeper than they already thought with Omar Navarro, the head of the ruthless Navarro Cartel, left fans anxiously awaiting the final chapter of the award-winning series. The streaming service has previously confirmed that the fourth and final season of Ozark would be 14 episodes split into two parts, with the first part airing on January 21, 2022. A teaser released just last month during Netflix's virtual TUDUM heard multiple voiceovers from the main cast giving eerie one-sentence phrases, reminding the audience where each left off last season, leaving fans wanting more.

With a little over two months until the crime drama returns, Netflix has given fans a first look at photos from the new season. The images introduce some new faces while providing a little insight into what some fan-favorites might be up to in the two-part final season of Ozark. While the photos might raise more questions than give answers, they're sure to hold fans over until Netflix releases the final chapter in the Byrde's story. Check out the photos below.

The photos released by Netflix reveal a familiar baby-grasping Darlene Snell, an over-stressed Bateman who seems to still be in the gambling game, and an insane amount of fear and crippling anxiety only made better by the promise of new additions to the cast. Among the new faces are Navarro's nephew Javi Elizonndro played by Alfonso Herrera, Adam Rothenberg as Mel Sattem, and Katrina Lenk as Clare Shaw. These additions to the cast will join Bateman and Linney along with Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Charlie Than, Jessica Frances Dukes, Lisa Emery Jordan Spiro, and Tom Pelphrey, to name a few.

While it's no surprise that fear and bloodshed will be right around the corner in this Netflix original's new season, one can only hope that murderous foreshadowing isn't what the Ozark writers do best when it comes to the fates of the main cast in its last season. With the nail-biting cliffhanger that season 3 left the audience dangling on, fans can't wait to find out what lies in store for the Byrdes in the final season of the award-winning Netflix hit, Part One is out January 21, 2022.
