Disney releases a new synopsis for the season 3 premiere of The Owl House teasing a return to the Demon Realm. The series, which first aired in January 2020, focuses on the adventures of Luz Noceda, a girl obsessed with fantasy, who suddenly finds herself in a dark and magical world full of witches and demons. She is taken in by Eda Clawthorne, the self-proclaimed "most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles", and her diminutive friend King. Together, the three go on adventures and face evil forces. The Owl House has garnered a large following for its prominent LGBTQ+ representation, charming humor, and dark story elements.

Disney released a new synopsis for The Owl House season 3 premiere "Thanks to Them" (via CBR) which states "After months of trying, Luz and her friends make a daring attempt to return to the Demon Realm." The season 2 finale "King's Tide" ended on a cliffhanger with Luz and her friends escaping back into the Human Realm. Based on the synopsis, it appears that not only will months have passed since the events of that episode, but that Luz and her friends will indeed be making a daring return to the Boiling Isles, which was last seen being taken over by the mysterious and childlike Collector.

The Owl House was renewed for season 3 back in mid-2021. It was further announced that the season will consist of three hour-long episodes that will make up the finale to the series as a whole. The fact that the season was severely shortened made for a very divisive reception. However, with any luck, the new episodes will provide a satisfying ending.

The Owl House returns to Disney Channel on October 15 at 9 p.m.
