Overcooked! All You Can Eat is getting a free update that introduces new levels, themes, and even a parody of popular food-ordering apps like Uber Eats. The Overcooked series tasks players with preparing simple meals according to customer orders, but with the added twist of navigating through perilous environments that grow more complicated with each level. Overcooked has spawned imitators like Cannibal Cuisine, which added human sacrifice and cannibalism to the former's already chaotic gameplay formula.

2020’s Overcooked! All You Can Eat repackaged the first two Overcooked games for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition to crisper 4K graphics, All You Can Eat introduced new features like online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer support, both of which allowed players to team up beyond the confines of the original’s local-only co-op to tackle Overcooked’s dangerous missions.

Team17 and Ghost Town Games are launching the free World Food Festival update for Overcooked! All You Can Eat on October 12. This hefty update is available for all current platforms and will add 10 new levels to All You Can Eat. As revealed in the official trailer on Team17's YouTube channel, these will take place in three new locations: The Metro Mash, Baked Bazaar, and Pepper Plaza. There are also two new playable chefs being introduced to Overcooked! All You Can Eat's chaotic PS5 gameplay: the much-requested fox chef and the globe chef with an alternate fish chef skin. Two new recipes are being introduced in the World Food Festival update, allowing players to try their hand at preparing chicken bobotie and paneer curry alongside a few new twists on existing menu items. Finally, there is a new gameplay mechanic that spoofs real-world food delivery services like Uber Eats and grinds all of Overcooked! All You Can Eat's activity to a halt as players struggle to get their takeaway orders completed on time.

Overcooked! All You Can Eat Update Adds New Accessibility Features

Overcooked! All You Can Eat’s new World Food Festival update is also adding new accessibility options to Overcooked to ensure that every player can dive into the mayhem of serving hungry customers. An enhanced assist mode lets players skip particularly difficult levels, increase order and level timers, boost recipe scores, toggle order times on or off, shorten player respawn times, make food harder to burn or even turn off burning altogether, and much more. Overcooked! All You Can Eat previously included features like dyslexia-friendly text and differently shaped player icons to help colorblind players easily identify teammates and objectives.

Overcooked! All You Can Eat was already stuffed with all of the chaotic content of the previous two Overcooked games, and the new World Food Festival update is bringing even more fun to aspiring chefs. This update is now available to download free across all platforms, and with crossplay, players experiencing Overcooked! All You Can Eat's humorous take on Uber Eats and other food delivery services can do so with friends on different systems.
