The Arbiter of Descent is the boss of the Trial of Tarya Gratar in Outriders Worldslayer. This new expansion to the Outsiders base game includes new content and worlds to explore, including the Trial of Tarya Gratar. In this dungeon, players will encounter a new boss, loot chests, randomized enemies, and higher chances to gain Ascension XP. Like other Expedition content, players have three attempts to defeat the challenging Trial of Tarya Gratar in Outriders Worldslayer.

Players will encounter the Arbiter of Descent as the final boss at the end of the Trial. This dungeon is notoriously difficult and is hailed as endgame content for players looking to farm Legendary and Apocalypse gear. While the Arbiter of Descent is a terrifying challenge, players who are working through the Trial of Tarya Gratar in Outriders Worldslayer will have already come across an Arbiter before in the game. However, players will have a hard time defeating the much more difficult Arbiter of Descent.

The Arbiter of Descent will attack players with its massive axe and shadow clones, so players need to be able to deal massive damage to the Arbiter and his clones while keeping distance from melee attacks, or else be ready to heal while fighting in Outriders. Once the Arbiter of Descent's health drops enough it will perform Anomaly Drain, which is a powerful move that summons an Umbral Clone that has a large AoE. If the battle goes on longer, the Arbiter of Descent will continue to summon Anomaly Drain, but with each successful cast more Umbral Clones will be summoned.

How Beat Arbiter of Descent in Outriders Worldslayer

Outriders Worldslayer Arbiter of Descent Boss Fight Anomaly Drain Umbral Clone

The Arbiter of Descent in Outriders Worldslayer will first attack players with melee attacks and clones. Players need to keep a distance between themselves and the boss, which can be tricky as the Arbiter can jump across the room. Manage health and attack the Arbiter and his clones when possible; there are plenty of good weapons in Outriders to use. Try to aim for the Arbiter's head to inflict maximum damage. The Arbiter of Descent will also use the Dark Armaments skill, an AoE attack that will take over large parts of the battle arena. Players will see red areas on the floor they need to avoid; pick a direction to run and focus on avoiding and dodging until it ends. There may also be black circles on the floor, which players also need to avoid. If players focus on killing enemies and the Arbiter when Dark Armaments is active, they will get hit during this attack and take massive damage.

In the next phase of battle, when the Arbiter summons Umbral Clones, use fire attacks to kill the Clones as fast as possible. If the Umbral Clones get to the center pillar in Outrider's Trial of Tarya Gratar, they will summon a Hive, which will send large AoE shockwaves. These shockwaves will do a lot of damage very quickly, so focus on killing the Umbral Clones with fire as fast as possible. There is little room for error in defeating the Arbiter of Descent in Outriders Worldslayer, but doing so will yield great rewards.

After defeating the boss, the Trial of Tarya Gratar is completed and players will earn gear, Ascension points, and PAX points. Players will earn one of three Apocalypse armor pieces based on the class they are playing: the Explosive Temper Helm, the Footwear of Terminal Velocity, or the Messenger Assault Rifle. Doing runs of the Trial of Tarya Gratar to defeat the Arbiter of Descent is a great way to farm gear, Ascension points, and PAX points in Outriders Worldslayer.
