When Outer Banks dropped last summer on Netflix is quickly became one of the most-watched shows. The teen series is part drama and part mystery-adventure series, which makes it appealing to just about everyone. On top of that, the series has an eccentric cast of characters, who fans love and hate.

One of those beloved characters is Kiara, a self-proclaimed Pogue who loves her friends and wants to make the world a better place. As a core member of the Pogues, Kiara is in every episode of the show which means she has plenty of good and bad episodes over the show's two seasons.

Best: "The Lucky Compass" (Season 1, Episode 2)

Kiara smiling at John B off camera in Outer Banks

In "The Lucky Compass," Kiara becomes John B.'s right-hand partner as the two race through town to uncover the mysterious message inscribed on the compass. This leads Kie and John B into questionable territory but she never backs down from supporting her friend.

Kiara is one of the most liked characters on Outer Banks because of the love she has for her friends. That love shines through in this episode as she follows John B into the lighthouse, even when she thinks it's a bad idea. Her friendship with him is so important she even refuses to kiss him because she doesn't want to ruin their friendship.

Worst: "Midsummers" (Season 1, Episode 5)

Kie wearing a flower crown in Outer Banks

Despite considering herself a Pogue, Kie's family are solidly in Kook territory, which means she's required to attend the annual Midsummer celebration in town. To make matters worse, John B. also informs the Pogues that he's been working with Sarah, which sets Kiara off.

This is one of the first times fans get to experience Kie's anger and jealousy streak. She lashes out at John B. when he mentions Sarah because the two have a heated past. It's ultimately this anger and jealousy that causes Kie to blow up at the party, which only makes things worse for everyone.

Best: "Parcel 9" (Season 1, Episode 6)

Kie sitting on the dock by herself in Outer Banks

Determined to make Sarah an official part of their Pogue crew, John B and the boys trick Kie and Sarah into meeting them in the middle of open waters. Once they all get there, the boys unload the girls onto a boat, before ditching them for the night.

Kie doesn't always get to be vulnerable in Outer Banks but so seeing her be open and honest about her feelings towards Sarah was a refreshing twist. Eventually, the two work out their problems and agree to be friends again, proving that Kie really is a great friend.

Worst: "The Runway" (Season 1, Episode 8)

The Pogues at the airport gate in Outer Banks

"The Runway" is one of the best episodes of Outer Banks' season one. After learning the truth about his father's death, John B is determined to get Ward behind bars. On top of that, the Pogues must figure out a way to stop Ward from stealing all the gold they found.

While the Pogues try to live by the motto "no one gets left behind" that goes out the door in this episode largely because of Kie. Instead of staying to help John B when he crashes onto the runway, she instructs the rest of the Pogues to run away when the police approach.

Best: "Homecoming" (Season 2, Episode 4)

Kie and Pope staring at each other in Outer Banks

"Homecoming" is one of the best Outer Banks episodes of all time largely because it's one of the only times everyone is truly happy - at least for a moment. In it, Kie, Pope, and JJ accidentally reunite with Sarah and John B while in Charleston.

Kie is a fairly guarded character when it comes to her emotions so it was a nice change to see herself let them all out. She's thrilled when she sees John B and Sarah and that happiness carries over to the night when she finally lets herself feel something for Pope, despite the Pogue's relationship rule.

Worst: "The Heist" (Season 2, Episode 2)

Kie shouting murdered in the rain in Outer Banks

After learning that John B and Sarah are alive, Kie, Pope, and JJ make it their mission to get evidence that will clear John B's name. This leads them on a midnight stakeout, where they witness Wade murder yet another town resident.

While Kie has a redeeming moment in this episode when she manages to secure the murder weapon, she spends most of the episode making things extremely complicated. For starters, she's the reason the Pogues lose the footage of Wade shooting Gavin because they had to flee after Kie yelled "murderer." It's hands down one of Kie's worst decisions as a Pogue because it nearly got them killed.

Best: "The Cross" (Season 2, Episode 8)

JJ holding Kie in Outer Banks

Things get tense for The Pogues as they race against Carla and Rafe to find the treasure Denmark Tanny left behind. To make matters worse, John B's beloved car gets stuck in the tide just as the group has figured out where the true treasure might be.

Kie definitely proves herself as a superhero best friend in this episode. Not only does she volunteer to steal her dad's car to help free the Twinkie, but she also ends up helping JJ get rid of his abusive father. Her true shining moment is when she gets the chance to tell Luke off for not appreciating how amazing JJ is. This not only shows that she's not scared of him, but it also spurred Outer Banks fans to ship JJ and Kie because of how much she cares about him.

Worst: "The Darkest Hour" (Season 2, Episode 5)

Kie looking devastated in Outer Banks

With John B. stuck in jail for a crime he didn't commit, the Pogues are frantic to find a way to clear his name and get back their best friend. This causes them all to make questionable decisions, but it's Kie who digs herself the biggest grave.

Though Kie thinks she's being a great friend, she ends up being a horrible daughter when she finally returns home only to ask her mother for money to bail John B. out. Things get heated and eventually, her mom kicks Kie out once and for all.

Best: "The Coastal Venture" (Season 2, Episode 10)

Kie and JJ sneaking around on the vessel in Outer banks

"The Coastal Venture" has some of the best twists and turns which makes Outer Banks' season 2 so great, as the Pogues find themselves stowaways on a transport vessel that Wade has rented since he's still alive. Determined to get the cross back, the Pogues will stop at nothing - even if it means putting their lives in danger.

Kie once again shows off her "ride or die" friendship mentality when she teams up with JJ as they fight their way to freedom. However, Kie refusing to let JJ go when he falls into the water unconscious is further proof that JJ and Kiara might be one of the best ships on Outer Banks.

Worst: "My Druthers" (Season 2, Episode 6)

Kie looking shocked in Outer Banks

With John B. finally free from prison with a clear name, things should be turning up for the Pogues but that's not the case. Instead, tensions fly high before the group accidentally witnesses Wade blowing himself on his yacht. On top of that, emotions run high as the group tries to figure out where their heart lies.

Kie is at the center of the emotional drama as she's forced to have a heart-to-heart with Pope after sleeping with him. Despite giving him a chance, Kie has realized that the two of them really are better as friends. The news crushes Pope and angered many fans because they felt like Kie was just toying with Pope's emotions the entire season.
