Game of Thrones is one of the most popular television series of all time, and now that, *sniff*, it is all over, we thought we would review some of the other places we have seen these stars. Many of these actors and actresses are best-known for their roles in GOT, but they can do more than fight for the Iron Throne!

Yes, from romantic stories and flicks made for kids to popular film series we all know and love, these faces should have looked familiar then and should also spark some memories now. So let’s go over other movies and television shows that have featured them…

Peter Dinklage

From 2011 to 2019, Peter Dinklage was Tyrion Lannister, but he has been in some other known works, too. For instance, in 2008, he was Trumpkin in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

In 2014, he was Dr. Bolivar Trask in X-Men: Days of Future Past. In 2017, he was seen in the acclaimed film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and the next year, he even appeared in the superhero movie Avengers: Infinity War as Eitri. Perhaps one of his most memorable roles was in 2003, as he acted alongside Will Ferrell as Miles Finch in the holiday flick Elf!

Lena Headey

Speaking of those Lannisters, everyone knows about Lena Headey. Who knew about the following roles, though? From 2008 to 2009, she played the lead character in a TV show called Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

She was Mary Sandin in the scary movie The Purge from the year 2013, and the next year, she portrayed Queen Gorgo in 300: Rise of an Empire; she was also that character in the original one from 2006! While these are known movies and shows, she may always be known to the world as her character from Game of Thrones, Cersei Lannister - for better or for worse.

Iain Glen

In this exciting television show, Iain Glen played Jorah Mormont, who was often seen alongside Daenerys Targaryen. But what else has he acted in over the years? Well, in 2001, this actor was in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider as Manfred Powell.

He appeared in well-known series like Doctor Who as Octavian and in Downton Abbey as Sir Richard Carlisle. Glen may best be known - outside of GOT - for his role in the Resident Evil films, as he has appeared as Dr. Isaacs a couple of times: in 2004’s Apocalypse, 2007’s Extinction and 2016’s Final Chapter.

Liam Cunningham

Liam Cunningham was actually an electrician when he saw an ad for acting school and started to pursue it, according to his IMDb page. Guess it paid off, as he ended up being Davos Seaworth in Game of Thrones between the years of 2012 and 2019.

Other places he has been seen include The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, as he was Maguire in this movie from 2008, and A Little Princess; some fans, especially female ones who grew up with this film from 1995, may have recognized Davos as Capt. Crewe / Prince Rama from this feel-good story!

Gwendoline Christie

Next up is Gwendoline Christie - better known as Brienne of Tarth. Now, Game of Thrones is a big deal, but so are film series such as The Hunger Games and Star Wars… and Christie was in both.

In 2015, she portrayed Commander Lyme in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 and Captain Phasma in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. She was Captain Phasma again in Star Wars: The Last Jedi from 2017, as well as in the TV show Star Wars Resistance the next year. She is obviously good at playing the tough chick role and has it down!

Natalie Dormer

Another GOT actress who was also in The Hunger Games is Natalie Dormer. Besides being Margaery Tyrell from 2012 to 2016, she was Anne Boleyn in The Tudors from 2007 to 2010, she was Pvt. Lorraine in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, and she was Jamie Moriarty / Irene Adler in Elementary from 2013 to 2015.

But it is very cool that her and Gwendoline Christie are part of the same popular film series, as Dormer portrayed Cressida (who looks so awesome in this pic) in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 and Part 2!

Aidan Gillen

Aidan Gillen is, of course, Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish in Game of Thrones, but he has been seen in some other notable films and shows. From 2004 to 2008, he was Thomas “Tommy” Carcetti in The Wire.

In 2016, he was Paul Serene in the television series Quantum Break. He was even in Bohemian Rhapsody as John Reid, Queen’s manager! But many fans may also know him from the Maze Runner flicks, as he played Janson in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials from 2015, as well as in Maze Runner: The Death Cure from 2018.

Thomas Brodie-Sangster

Some other stars from Game of Thrones acted alongside each other outside of this thrilling TV series, as Thomas Brodie-Sangster was also in the Maze Runner movies (as was Aidan Gillen, as mentioned above); this young actor played Newt in all three of these installments based on the book series of the same name.

And while many know him as Jojen Reed, he can also be seen in Nanny McPhee from 2005, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens from 2015 (he was a First Order Officer) and Love Actually. Yes, in 2003, he was the cute little boy, Sam!

Sean Bean

Sean Bean will always be Ned Stark to fans of Game of Thrones. Ready to know where else he can be seen, though? He was Farmer Grey in Black Beauty from 1994, Odysseus in Troy from 2004, Ian Howe in National Treasure from 2004, Captain Rich in Flightplan from 2005, and Martin Odum in Legends from 2014 to 2015.

He has been in some film series, as well; in 2006, he was Christopher Da Silva in Silent Hill, and in 2012, he was in Silent Hill: Revelation. Of course, many know him as Boromir from The Lord of the Rings!

And These Three Stars From Harry Potter

In Game of Thrones, Michelle Fairley was Catelyn Stark, Natalia Tena was Osha, and David Bradley was Walder Frey. How many people out there knew that these three people also appeared in the Harry Potter movies?

That is right… First up, Fairley played Mrs. Granger (Hermione’s mother) in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Tena portrayed Nymphadora Tonks in Order of the Phoenix, The Half-Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Part 2. And Bradley gave the world Argus Filch, Caretaker of Hogwarts. Fans surely loved seeing them all again in GOT!
