Everyone knows about the show Friends. It was on from 1994 to 2004, it focused on a group of pals in New York City, it is one of the most-watched television series ever, it went up for and won so many awards, and it is still considered one of the greatest things that has ever been on TV.

But what have these well-known actors and actresses been on and in besides this show? Where else can they be seen? What will they be in next? Let’s find out by going over the other films and series that these stars have been in over the years...

Jennifer Aniston

On the hit show Friends, Jennifer Aniston played Rachel Green. This actress is a well-known one, though, and has been seen in movies such as Leprechaun in 1993, Office Space in 1999, Bruce Almighty in 2003, Along Came Polly in 2004, The Break-Up in 2006, Marley & Me in 2008, Horrible Bosses in 2011, and We're the Millers in 2013.

Her current projects include the film Murder Mystery with Adam Sandler, a series called The Morning Show with Nestor Carbonell and Steve Carell and a biographical drama titled The Fixer, which is about a former Miss USA contestant who becomes a sports manager.

Courteney Cox

Another leading lady from this series is Courteney Cox, who played Monica Geller. Some other TV shows she has been in over the years are Family Ties (she was Lauren Miller from 1987 to 1989), Scrubs (she was Dr. Maddox in 2009), Shameless (she was Jen Wagner in 2018) and, of course, Cougar Town (she starred as Jules Cobb from 2009 to 2015).

Films that have Cox in them include Ace Ventura: Pet Detective from 1994, Bedtime Stories from 2008, and the Scream movies, in which she portrayed Gale Weathers. It was while filming these classic horror films that Cox met David Arquette.

Lisa Kudrow

And, of course, there is Lisa Kudrow, who will always be Phoebe Buffay to the world. Besides being on Friends, this actress has appeared on and in Romy and Michele's High School Reunion from 1997, Mad About You as good ol’ Ursula Buffay, P.S. I Love You from 2007, Easy A from 2010, Scandal as Congresswoman Josephine Marcus, The Comeback from 2005 to 2014, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising from 2016, Grace and Frankie as Sheree and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt from 2016 to 2019.

Her upcoming work includes a TV movie with Emily Ratajkowski and a TV show with Zac Efron, Jillian Bell and Anna Kendrick.

Matt LeBlanc

It is time to move on to the men of this funny show, beginning with Joey Tribbiani, who was played by Matt LeBlanc. Everyone is familiar with Joey’s adventures in the world of acting and his goofy lines, but this actor has proved he is more than just that character.

LeBlanc was in Charlie's Angels in 2000, as well as Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle in 2003. And when it comes to television, he was, of course, the star of the show Joey from 2004 to 2006, and he has been in other series such as Episodes from 2011 to 2017, as well as Man with a Plan from 2016 to 2019.

Matthew Perry

Matthew Perry's first credit on IMDb is from the year 1979, as he appeared in shows like Growing Pains, Who's the Boss and Beverly Hills, 90210. In 2000, he was in The Whole Nine Yards.

In 2002, he was in Serving Sara. In 2009, he was in 17 Again. And his recent work includes being on series like The Odd Couple and The Good Fight, as well as playing Ted Kennedy in a TV mini-series called The Kennedys After Camelot. The world knows him best as Chandler Bing, though, and probably always will!

David Schwimmer

The last main male star from Friends is David Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller. He was on The Wonder Years as Michael. He was on L.A. Law as City Attorney Dana Romney. He was in Band of Brothers as Herbert M. Sobel. He was the voice of Melman in the Madagascar movies.

He was in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story as Robert Kardashian. And he was in the new Will & Grace series as Noah Broader. Schwimmer will also be in The Laundromat with Meryl Streep, and will star with Gary Oldman and in a new series called Intelligence.

James Michael Tyler

There are some notable supporting characters to go over from this TV show, too… James Michael Tyler's biggest role has been as Gunther on Friends. Some other places he has been seen include an episode of Just Shoot Me from 2000, an episode of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch in 2001, an episode of Scrubs in 2005, and an episode of the series Episodes in 2012.

In 2013, he was also Chad Levitz in a television series that was called Modern Music. IMDb also says he will be in a short called The Gesture and The Word, which is in the post-production stage.

Maggie Wheeler

No one can forget about Janice (and that iconic voice and laugh), a character who was portrayed by actress Maggie Wheeler! She has been seen in several things, and these are the most popular: She was Anita Warwell on Ellen’s television series from 1994 to 1996. She was Marva Kulp, Jr. on The Parent Trap from 1998.

She was Linda Gruenfelder in Everybody Loves Raymond from 1996 to 2004. She was Ophelia in the show Californication. And she was the voice of Trinette / Trinette McGoon / Receptionist on the animated series Archer from 2009 to 2017.

Paul Rudd

The last two actors on this list are pretty big names, and true fans will remember that they played important roles on Friends. First up is Paul Rudd, who was Mike Hannigan, who ended up marrying Phoebe!

From Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Role Models and I Love You, Man to Dinner for Schmucks, Wanderlust, This Is 40 and Anchorman, Rudd is known for comedy flicks. He was also Bobby Newport in the comedy show Parks and Recreation, he plays Andy in anything related to Wet Hot American Summer, and he recently became the superhero Ant-Man.

Tom Selleck

And last but not least, there is a man named Tom Selleck. Two of his most popular films include 3 Men and a Baby and 3 Men and a Little Lady. Of course, he is definitely known for two beloved TV shows, which are called Magnum, P.I. and Blue Bloods. But from the year 1996 to the year 2000, he was on Friends.

He played one of the many love interests seen on this hit television series. Yes, Selleck’s character dated Monica Geller, as he was Dr. Richard Burke - a fan favorite!
