The Other Half is one of the two Legendary Swords that was added in Destiny 2 with the 30th Anniversary update. This weapon is inspired by the Energy Sword from the Halo franchise. As the name implies, The Other Half is only part of this icon weapon. Guardians must get the Half-Truths Sword in Destiny 2 to complete their collection. The former is a blue Arc blade, while The Other Half is Void and colored purple. The Sword is a rather rare weapon to acquire and Guardians will need to complete plenty of rounds in Dares of Eternity.

The Other Half does not have many Perks to choose from, making it easy to test out different combinations. Swords are excellent for both add clear and boss DPS. Their ability to attack quickly makes them a great option for encounters that have short damage windows. The downside of this weapon archetype is that Guardians will need to be close to their targets. The Other Half God Roll is able to mitigate some damage in combat, allowing players to close the distance to their foes.

Dares of Eternity in Destiny 2 is a free activity, available to all players. Guardians compete against random enemy types, chosen via a wheel. The activity is split into three segments and is the only way to acquire The Other Half. During Dare of Eternity, Guardians can earn a special currency called Treasure Keys. These are used to open a loot chest at Xur's Treasure Hoard. While there is a small chance to acquire The Other Half at the end of an activity, the drop rate is extremely low. The best way to get the Sword is by accumulating Treasure Keys and opening Xur's chest for a random Halo-inspired weapon in Destiny 2.

How To Craft The Other Half God Roll

Destiny 2 The Other Half Perks Intrinsic Traits

In Season of Plunder, the Dares of Eternity weapons all became craftable. Guardians will usually need five Deepsight versions to unlock a Pattern. Since The Other Half has such a low drop rate, the Pattern only requires one red-bordered copy. This means Guardians fortunate enough to acquire the Sword, will instantly be able to craft the weapon. The God Roll for the Other Half can be found below:

Trait 2

Jagged Edge

Enduring Guard

Duelist's Trance

Frenzy

This God Roll is optimized for clearing out multiple enemies. Jagged Edge increases damage at the cost of ammo capacity. Enduring Guard increases guard efficiency, guard endurance, and ammo. Duelist's Trance will grant a buff that increases charge rate, efficiency, and defense until the weapon is stowed. Lastly, Frenzy will give a permanent damage buff when in combat for an extended time. All Players in Destiny 2 can acquire the God Roll for The Other Half. Dares of Eternity is also a permanent activity, meaning there is no time limit for earning this weapon. However, the drop rate is low, so Guardians should start earning Treasure Keys and add The Other Half to their collection in Destiny 2.
