Orlandbo Bloom is best known for his role as Legolas in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit series. Recently, he has gotten back to his fantasy acting roots by starring in the Amazon series, Carnival Row. While Bloom might mostly be known for being an elf or pirate in some huge blockbuster films, he’s also done a few smaller movies over the years that have been well-rated.

His best-rated movies are a mix of franchise blockbusters as well as indie films you might not even have heard about. Here are the 10 best Orlando Bloom films according to Rotten Tomatoes.

10 DIGGING FOR FIRE 66%

Digging for Fire is one of the indie films that Bloom has starred in over the years. It’s the first on the list of his top rated movies from Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 66%. This story is about a couple named Tim and Lee. It’s part of a mystery story and part romantic comedy.

While Orlando Bloom doesn’t play either of the main characters, he does play a character named Ben. While this isn’t a movie that many people, even Bloom’s biggest fans, have heard of, it did get an overall positive review.

9 THE GOOD DOCTOR 66%

The Good Doctor is another movie on this list that many people haven’t heard about. This is another Orlando Bloom film that has a 66% on Rotten Tomatoes. This movie is one that Bloom plays a lead role in, however, so it got put higher on this list. Bloom plays Dr. Martin Blake, who is a young and ambitious doctor.

But, things take a turn when a young 18-year-old patient named Diane is admitted because of a kidney infection. Blake starts to become obsessed with her. This is a slightly darker film and less fantastical and fun than many of Bloom’s other top-rated movies.

8 ROMEO AND JULIET 71%

There have been many Romeo and Juliet versions that have been made over the centuries. From movies to television shows to stage productions, Romeo and Juliet is a classic story that many have done. This movie is actually a taping of a Broadway production of the classic Shakespeare play.

Bloom plays Romeo himself with Condola Rashad as Juliet. Since it’s a film of a Broadway show, the experience of watching this movie is a little different, but it’s definitely worth a watch.

7 THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG 74%

The story is about a group of soldiers and Army Rangers who are dropped into Modadishu, Somali who must then survive the oncoming onslaught.

Other than The Lord of the Rings, Bloom is best known for his role as Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. While most critics and fans agree that the two latest installments of the Pirates franchise weren’t that successful, the very first film did quite well in many ways.

While most of Bloom’s top-five, highly rated movies were his big blockbuster movies, Tour de Pharmacy is the exception. This is a completely different movie than a fantasy epic about Hobbits and elves or an action adventure about pirates. Instead, it’s an indie comedy about doping and cycling.
