The original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series sees five teenagers (and later, five more) picked to become superheroes. They don't have experience as superheroes when they start, unlike the kids training to be shinobi in the world of Naruto. Despite that, their learning different seemingly magical skills, as well as hand-to-hand combat, isn't all that different.

Not every member of the original Power Rangers lineup would have what it took to pass the Chunin Exams. They could all fight when they were connected to the power of the morphing grid, but their strength lay in their friendships and their ability to work together. The Chunin Exams tested more than teamwork - knowledge of the shinobi life, cunning, and ruthlessness were all measured.

Yes: Jason

Jason leads the morphing call in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Jason is one of the best leaders to ever wear the red Power Rangers uniform. He always places his team first and doesn't hesitate to step down when he thinks someone else can carry the mission. He would definitely be the leader of his three-man team in the Naruto universe's Chunin Exams, but he'd also be one of the few Mighty Morphin Power Rangers promoted.

That's because Jason is also an exceptional student, so he wouldn't have a problem with the written portion of the exam either. He's also used to going up against opponents who are more powerful than him and having to outthink them, so he'd be able to take on those other students in one-on-one matches as well.

No: Rocky

Rocky took Jason's place as the team's new Red Ranger in the second season. While he does have martial arts training before taking on the mantle, he doesn't exactly have the same discipline that Jason does. He's a bit more impulsive and not always one to listen to the advice of his teammates.

That could lead him to trouble during the teamwork portion of the exam. Depending on just who he was paired up with, Rocky might have trouble trusting them to get the job done, and he might not be willing to allow them to help him out. His overconfidence in his abilities in the one-on-one matches would also be a detriment to him as he might not be able to outmaneuver opponents as well as Jason.

Yes: Aisha

A split image depicts Aisha in the command center and in her ninja garb in Power Rangers

Like most of the Power Rangers, the written portion of the Chunin Exams would be relatively simple for her. She retains information well and often tells her friends about the new things she's learned. Likewise, she's been put in numerous positions where she's been the only one left to fight the enemy, so she would be able to handle a round of one-on-one Chunin Exam matches.

It's the teamwork area that actually might give Aisha pause. Though she gets along well with her friends, being assigned a three-man team might see her, like Rocky, place herself in the leadership position. Sometimes, power can go to her head, like when she became the student in charge of fire safety. Aisha, however, is someone who takes critical feedback and applies it well, which would help her work with her team, even if they were strangers.

No: Kat

A split image features Kat in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Turbo, and in Power Rangers Zeo

Before Kat actually becomes a Power Ranger, when she's being used by Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa to sabotage them, she actually seems more powerful than once she's got her hands on the power coin. She's able to get rid of their influence on her without help, which means she might be pretty adept at seeing through genjutsu in the world of Naruto.

Kat, however, isn't a great fighter. She's the one team member who often has to have help getting out of tough situations. Kat would be fine working with a team and following their instructions, but when it came to fighting on her own, she wouldn't make it through the match.

Yes: Adam

Adam getting ready to call out his morph in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie

Adam definitely has the work ethic to be as prepared as possible for the Chunin Exams. He's often considered one of the most underrated Power Rangers by fans since he appears in almost as many teams as Tommy Oliver, but rarely gets as much credit. He's also someone who is heavily involved in different projects, clubs, and academic activities in addition to studying multiple different forms of martial arts.

Adam, whether he had any special abilities or not, would be ready with several different fighting styles to go up against opponents. He's also equally adept at leading a team and taking a back seat, making him the perfect team member for that particular part of the exams.

No: Zack

Zack sits on the rocks outside of the command center in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Zack is a very enthusiastic team member, and he works hard to overcome his fears of things like bugs and spiders in order to battle monsters that look like them. He also, however, isn't always the most focused of fighters.

Zack is easily distracted by things in his own life, like impressing a girl he likes, rather than train to defeat a monster. It's unlikely he'd be quite as prepared for the Chunin Exams as some of his friends. That lack of preparation, and his tendency to show off dance moves instead of analyzing his opponent's weaknesses, would cost him.

Yes: Kimberly

Kimberly smiles for the camera in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie

Kimberly is actually the most suited to passing the Chunin Exams. She learns how to use a variety of weapons - her bow and arrow, but also the Green Ranger's dagger. She also comes into being a Ranger with her gymnastic skills and creative thinking.

While Kimberly initially follows the orders of the Red Ranger, she's also been in positions to lead teams on her own, making her, like Adam, one of the perfect teammates for the three-man-team portion of the exams. She's also one of the top students, making the written portion a breeze for her. Even if it wasn't, Kimberly is one of the only Rangers able to fool the bad guys into thinking she was as evil as they were, which means she would have no problem lying her way out of a tough situation or cheating without getting caught - something that's encouraged in Naruto, but not in Power Rangers.

No: Trini

Trini holds her morpher in front of her as she calls to become the Yellow Ranger

Unlike Kimberly, Trini would have a very difficult time understanding that cheating and lying were encouraged in the Naruto universe. She's an accomplished fighter, and a great team player, but the more ruthless aspects of the Chunin Exams would get to her.

Trini would be more likely to stop her own one-on-one match up than she would be to fight until the other person couldn't fight anymore. She's just a little too nice to abide by the Naruto universe's rules, which isn't a bad thing, but it would probably take her a few rounds of taking the exams before she would pass them.

Yes: Tommy

Tommy Oliver ready to lead Rangers into battle in Power Rangers Megaforce

Tommy is the most accomplished Power Ranger of all time. He's been in more teams - as a leader or member - than any other existing Ranger. That's why so many consider Tommy Oliver one of the best Power Rangers.

Even as an inexperienced teenager still learning his skills, Tommy would be able to pass the Chunin Exams. The one area he might have trouble with is the written exam since he's not quite as good of a student - and doesn't have as good of a memory - as the others. If the rules of the exams actually encouraged the students to break the rule though, Tommy would have no problem using any means at his disposal to finish his exam, giving him an edge over some of his friends.

No: Billy

David Yost as the Blue Ranger Billy Cranston Power Rangers

When Billy first becomes a Power Ranger, he struggles. He's not a trained fighter like most of his friends, and he is terrified of most of the situations he ends up in. It's hard to imagine him even being willing to participate in the Chunin Exams.

If he did, Billy would definitely ace the written portion since he has no problems memorizing complex formulas, rules, and facts. He also wouldn't have a problem with the team portion as he could follow the lead of his teammates. It's the one-on-one portion that would be his downfall. Billy works best as a member of a team, not on his own. He wouldn't be comfortable enough, or confident enough, to take down an opponent.
