Netflix's Orange is the New Black from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan became a critical and pop-culture success fairly quickly following its first season debut back in 2013. The series managed to survive the year-long break between seasons as well and garner an even larger fan-following than in season two than it debuted with - all leading up to this year's third season. With some cast shake-ups and new characters being introduced into the show this season, Orange is the New Black looks to be coming back with its most different season to date.

The first trailer for the third season teased the return of Laura Prepon's Alex, and the tension between Piper (Taylor Schilling) and her this year, as well providing glimpses into the madness fans can expect to see this time around (including some sage advice from Red). However, not much is known about the season other than what's been shown in the clips, and it seems like Kohan and the rest of the creative team are keeping their mouths shut tight for right now.

Today, Netflix has revealed a new poster for the third season online, and it plays even more into some of its religious satire that has been prevalent since the first season. However, while the poster keeps a comedic tone, it also speaks volumes in regards to what some of the characters are going through this season, specifically - what or who should they put their faith in?

In a recent interview with TIME as well, Kohan revealed some hints regarding one of this season's newcomers. While remaining tight-lipped about most of the returning characters' journeys this season, Kohan did reveal that there will be a character introduced this season inspired by none other than. Martha Stewart.

While this might seem like a random choice to some, the inspiration actually comes from the source material the series is based on. In Piper Kerman's original Orange is the New Black memoir, the former prisoner spoke about the time Stewart herself was almost sent to Danbury (the real life inspiration of Litchfield), before being sent to West Virginia following her insider-trading scandal that landed her behind bars. No word yet on who will be playing the character.

Orange is the New Black season 3 new cast additions

With the last season ending as Piper convinced Polly (Maria Dizzia) to rat on Alex's parole officer and therefore, Alex landing back at Litchfield - and not to mention the fallout from the events that concluded the second season - season three certainly has a lot of momentum heading into it for a show that hasn't had a new episode in almost a year. The inclusion of Stella (Ruby Rose) and her possible infatuation with Piper may turn out to be a more interesting story than just some standard love-triangle as well - something this series has successfully done on a number of occasions.

Ahead of its season three premiere, Netflix has already renewed Orange is the New Black for a fourth season. It may be a series that started out as something of an experiment on Netflix, but Orange has turned into one of the most critically-acclaimed shows in recent memory. Not bad, not bad at all.

Orange is the New Black season three will be available to stream on Netflix starting June 12th, 2015.
