The departure of Orange Is The New Black will leave a huge void in some viewer's lives. While it wasn't like most primetime shows, OITNB was groundbreaking in its own right. What set Orange Is The New Black apart from other shows within that genre was their ability to highlight each individual main character as if they were the focal point of every storyline.

But now that the run is over, fans are wondering if the show could be resurrected? It was the characters that made the show great. Each one had their own individual presence that the audience fell in love with or hated. Piper Chapman was the focus but as the seasons grew, so did other personalities. The audience is split when it comes to having a Season 8.

Need More (The Story of Taystee)

During Season 7, viewers sat on the edge of their seats not really worrying about Piper but what was going to happen to Taystee. Her role in the riot was clear but all she wanted was to help. She took the fall for other's mistakes but to sentence her to life, that was unfair.

Now that Orange Is The New Black is off, fans still want answers. How will she adjust? At one point, Taystee wanted to kill herself but found a reason to live. It would be nice to see either her growth in prions or get her release.

Ended Perfectly (The Prison Storyline)

Besides some of the cast of characters on Orange Is The New Black, it was the storylines that kept fans tuning in every year. But with a prison show, how many times can the writers continue to pull from their imagination? To many, the show should have ended after the big riot.

Where else could by go? The OITNB had to follow Piper after her release which made Season 7 a bit boring. The drug trade was wearing thin as well, it was time to let it all go.

Need More (Caputo and Natalie)

There was always something there between the two. While it started out as just casual sex, to see Caputo and Natalie living together in Season 7 was well worth the wait. The chemistry between the pair was always hilarious to watch but as a couple, they were even better.

A spinoff of these two with their own show will draw fans back it. Maybe Caputo taking over as the Warden and the couple entering parenthood could give the franchise another boost.

Ended Perfectly (Alex and Piper Story)

Theirs was the official "love story" of Orange Is The New Black. And for the first two seasons, it worked. However, as time passed, their union became boring. The ups and downs, the fights, and then the cheating in Season 7. It grew old. With Piper's release, their story took a turn for the worse and may have been better off without it.

While it ended with Piper moving and waiting for Alex to be released, the question of was it worth it has to be asked? To loyal fans, yes. However, for the storyline, it was time to move on.

Need More (Daya and Her Mom)

Daughters and their mothers will butt heads from time to time. But for Daya and Aleida, it was a little different. In and out of trouble, Daya found herself in prison with her mother. Early in the series, Daya was the scared girl who wanted nothing more than to stay in the background and not be noticed.

Then the riot happened and Daya turned into someone else. Their relationship was always rocky as blame was tossed around as either wanted to take responsibility for their own actions. With that said, it would be nice to see them on opposite ends of the prison leading their own troops.

Ended Perfectly (ICE Storyline)

At the end of Season 6, there was a story developing but fans weren't quite sure if the writers would go into detail for the next season. When Season 7 returned, Orange Is The New Black took a slightly different approach with a new storyline. Thinking she was being released from Litchfield, Blanca was detained by ICE where they had their own prison.

A slightly new cast but the connection with the fans was never there. Old faces still took top priority at the new Detention Center and viewers never got a chance to adjust to new faces and storylines.

Need More (Suzanne)

Suzanne smiling in Orange Is The New Black

Suzanne, aka "Crazy Eyes", was a fan-favorite character. Although in prison for murder, Suzanne did not mean to commit such a horrible crime. While she's guilty, her presence on the show added a comedic approach to all storylines. One more season of her either being released or finding a way to make her mark in the world while still incarcerated would be a great way to out.

She loves those creepy Sci-Fi stories and although her imagination is a bit vivid, Suzzane was always on to something.

Ended Perfectly (Red)

Red was a major figure in the prison but her age finally caught up with her. It was hard seeing her go through the early stages of dementia but just as the other characters were fighting their own demons, there was no way Red was going to be exempt.

Red was the "Prison Mother" to most of the girls and ran her kitchen as proficient as a 5-Star restaurant. She was a fearless character who took nothing from no one but to see her die would have been a huge blow to the audience.

Need More (The Outside World)

Throughout the show, inmates were released but we didn't get to see too much of their life outside of the prison. Piper took top billing here as the main star and even he scenes out of the prison seemed forced. But still, there were other characters who should have been given the opportunity to explore normal lives.

What the writers were doing with Cindy was great. She was working on her relationship with her mother and daughter and was worth more than just the few scenes she was given.

Ended Perfectly (Piper and Larry)

There were a few moments in Season 7 where there was a hint that Piper and Larry may rekindle something. Larry and Piper began the show as the main couple but that quickly faded. Piper began a new relationship with Alex which left Larry out of the storyline. In Season 7, he returned with a new romance that involved Piper's best friend.

There was no need to bring these two back together again. The relationship had run its course. And while Piper could be a bit of a nuisance, Larry was even more boring.
