Oppo not only makes smartphones, but also chargers, and its latest offerings boast some seriously fast charge speeds and times. As a result, Oppo might be on the way to helping many smartphone users realize their dream of being able to charge their phones rapidly, so they can have more time to take advantage of the device’s full capabilities.

Recently, there's been much discussion around how Apple and Samsung are now considering selling phones without chargers. At the same time, the European Commission wants companies to manufacture a universal charger as a means to keep costs and waste low. However, there are options other than a standard charger, such as a wireless charger. By doing away with the wire connecting the charger to the phone, these chargers provide a more convenient experience. In some cases, they can also add functional, such as Google's recent Pixel phones that transform into a Google Assistant smart speaker when wirelessly charging.

Oppo has now announced its latest line of flash charge devices. According to Oppo, the company wants to provide users with safe, efficient and convenient solutions, and the latest additions arrive in four different types to cater to the varying needs of different consumers. Soon to be on offer is the 125-watt flash charger and the 65-watt airVOOC wireless flash charger, as well as the 50-watt mini SuperVOOC charger, and the 110-watt mini flash charger.

Fast Charging Getting Even Faster

Starting with the first, the 125W flash charger is capable of charging a 4,000 mAh battery in just twenty minutes. In fact, if a person has only five minutes to charge their device, it can charge as much as 41 percent in that time. In addition, compared to Oppo’s other models, the new charger has not encountered a significant increase in size to account for the increase in performance. With Oppo wanting to make sure its products are safe, the company added ten temperature sensors, and overvoltage protection measures, as well as encryption algorithms. Meanwhile, the 65W airVOOC wireless flash charger can fully charge a device in thirty minutes. This charger has a semiconductor cooler so a user’s device will not get too while charging, and it also supports five-fold safety measures, as well as a foreign object detection function.

The mini alternatives are perfect for a user who enjoys an on-the-go lifestyle. For example, the 50W mini SuperVOOC charger is roughly one centimetre thick and can also charge laptops as well as phones. To help achieve this, Oppo removed the electrolytic capacitor and in its place, added pulse charging. Then there's the 110W mini flash charger which comes with temperature control and can be compared in size to a standard 18W charger.

While major companies continue to develop and compete to have the fastest chargers on the market, safety remains a priority. That appears to be the case with these latest Oppo chargers as well, considering they don't sacrifice safety to reach new potentials. As a result, users will be able to quickly charge their smartphones without having to worry about damaging them, or worse.
