OnePlus has officially revealed the key specifications of the OnePlus 10 Pro, and as expected from the company, the 10 Pro is another flagship device with some of the biggest and most impressive specs currently available. Ever since the original OnePlus One launched in 2014, specs have always been a critical part of the OnePlus experience. From snappy processors, high-resolution displays, and fast charging speeds, OnePlus smartphones often have some of the biggest numbers on their spec sheets.

This was perfectly evident last year with the OnePlus 9 Pro. OnePlus's 2021 flagship touted a Snapdragon 888 chipset, 12GB of RAM, a 4500 mAh battery, and 60W wired charging — just to name a few of its main talking points. The end result was one of the better Android smartphones available last year, even if it was overshadowed a bit by the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Pixel 6 Pro.

One day after confirming the existence of the OnePlus 10 Pro and revealing its official design, OnePlus is now sharing the phone's specifications. Right off the bat, it's touting Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. This is the successor to last year's Snapdragon 888 and offers a CPU that's 16-perfect faster, a 30-percent performance boost to the GPU, and a 25-percent reduction in overall power use. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 also has an upgraded image signal processor, allowing smartphone cameras to capture significantly more data than before.

OnePlus has also confirmed a few enticing battery details. Not only is the OnePlus 10 Pro's batterty capacity increased to 5000 mAh, but wired charging speeds also now go up to 80W. Wireless charging remains at the same 50W speed, and just like last year, reverse wireless charging is present, too. OnePlus is also touting things like a 120Hz AMOLED display with LTPO technology (with improved calibration), LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.

Another important element is the camera system. The OnePlus 10 Pro will have the "Second-generation Hasselblad Camera for Mobile" — consisting of a 48MP primary camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. Those are the exact same megapixel counts as the OnePlus 9 Pro's cameras, but that's not to say there won't be any improvements (whether it be new software processing or smaller changes to the sensors). Other confirmed specs include dual stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, and dimensions of 163 x 73.9 x 8.55mm.

As announced yesterday, the OnePlus 10 Pro is slated to launch on January 11 in China and then followed by other markets later on. Pricing and additional availability still remain a mystery, but now knowing the 10 Pro's design and main specs, the phone is gradually coming together. So long as OnePlus can get the cost right, this could easily be one of 2021's most interesting smartphones.
