A new leak suggests that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be officially unveiled on January 11. The company's CEO Pete Lau had earlier announced that the device will launch in January, but he didn't give an exact date. A January debut would mean the OnePlus 10 Pro will be announced a good two months ahead of the company's usual launch window, given that its predecessor was unveiled in March 2021. The OnePlus 8 Pro was launched even later, in April in 2020 at the start of the pandemic.

As for the phone itself, a whole host of leaks over the past several weeks have revealed quite a bit about the device, and some of the details have even been officially confirmed by the company. High-res CAD renders of the upcoming flagship smartphone have also popped up online, revealing a modern design. Overall, the OnePlus 10-series promises to be one of the strongest competitors to the Galaxy S22 lineup next year, and will also have the first-mover advantage over the upcoming Samsung flagship.

A video that was originally posted on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo suggests that the OnePlus 10 Pro will go official on January 11. According to the poster, the video is part of OnePlus' official marketing material, but the information hasn't been independently verified, nor has it been confirmed by OnePlus. The video has since been removed from Weibo, but it is currently available on Twitter, thanks to tipster Abhiskek Yadav. It shows off pretty much the entire smartphone, including its punch-hole selfie-cam at the front, and the triple-camera setup at the back. The design seemingly confirms earlier leaks which also suggested a similar setup for the upcoming smartphone.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 120Hz OLED Display, 5,000mAh Battery

OnePlus 9 Pro curved display

The OnePlus 10 Pro will be one of the first smartphones to chip with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 under the hood. It is currently only available with the Moto Edge X30, which launched earlier this month as the world's first phone powered by Qualcomm's new flagship chipset. As for the OnePlus 10 Pro, leaks suggest that it will feature a curved 6.7-inch OLED display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will reportedly sport a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The fingerprint sensor will reportedly sit underneath the display panel.

On the imaging side of things, the phone is expected to come with three cameras at the back, led by a 48-megapixel primary sensor. It is also rumored to have a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera just like its predecessor. The final shooter will reportedly be an optically stabilized 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, there will be a 32-megapixel selfie camera housed within a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner. The latest leaked video also seems to suggest that OnePlus is still working with Swedish camera firm Hassleblad, so it remains to be seen how that will help the image quality in the upcoming device.
