Warning: SPOILERS for One-Punch Man chapter #174

One-Punch Man just teased its next exciting story arc, which will feature a heated confrontation between Tatsumaki and Fubuki, the two heroes known as the Psychic Sisters. While the two women are both powerful espers who work for the Hero Association, their different personalities will cause a conflict that will be the focus of the upcoming chapters of One-Punch Man.

Fubuki and Tatsumaki are two of the most popular characters in One-Punch Man, not least because artist Yusuke Murata seems to have a weak point for the sisters and often features them in the chapter covers and other illustrations. Despite sharing similar abilities, the two women are very different. Tatsumaki is the most powerful esper in the world and one of the strongest heroes even among S-Class, where she holds rank 2. Fubuki, on the other hand, is much weaker than her sisters. To compensate, Fubuki created a faction in B-Class, called the Blizzard Group, but this only caused the contempt of her sisters, who sees that as a sign of weakness.

In chapter #174, Fubuki and the Blizzard Group are headed to an undisclosed location to meet a mysterious person. Readers of the webcomic know that this should be none other than Psykos, the former leader of the Monster Association who has been captured by the heroes. Psykos was, in fact, Fubuki's best friend, before letting her psychic powers drive her toward evil. Fubuki wants to try to save and redeem her former friend, but Tatsumaki, who fought against her during the battle with the Monster Association, wants to kill Psykos instead. The two sisters will clash over the fate of the villain, with Saitama caught in the middle, mostly by mere chance as usual.

Tatsumaki's harsh behavior towards her sister is actually motivated by her desire to protect her. After being treated as a test subject as a kid by scientists experimenting on her powers, Tatsumaki was saved by the hero Blast, who told her to be strong and protect her own family. This is why Tatsumaki sees Fubuki's reliance on other people as a weakness and wants to cut her off from the Blizzard Group. Fubuki's kindness towards Psykos also infuriates Tatsumaki, which leads to a clash between the two sisters.

One-Punch Man has a varied cast of colorful characters, and the Psychic Sisters are among the most popular. Highlighted by a much-hyped battle between Saitama and Tatsumaki, the next arc of the manga will also dive into the two sisters' personalities and their dynamic, giving fans of Tatsumaki and Fubuki a chance to learn more about the characters. While the outcome of the fight between the One-Punch Man's Psychic Sisters may seem obvious, fans will have to keep reading to see what surprises ONE and Yusuke Murata's exciting series has in store.
