Fans were stilled stunned on May 30th when Luffy finally defeated Kaido in One Piece Chapter 1050. These two pirates raged a long battle demonstrating the mastery of their Devil Fruits and Haki. More specifically, their Conqueror's Haki.

Those with Conqueror's Haki are said to have kingly ambitions and it's no question that all of the characters who have the ability fit that description. While there are many other characters fans speculate to have Conqueror's Haki, here are 10 of the strongest wielders, ranked from weakest to strongest.

Roronoa Zoro & Yamato

A split image of Zoro and Yamato from One Piece.

While Zoro and Yamato are indeed two different characters, it's hard to say at the moment who is actually stronger. As of now, it seems they are about the same.

Zoro first demonstrated the ability to wield Conqueror's Haki last year in the fight against Kaido and Big Mom, even giving the Yonko a wound that he said would leave a scar. While Zoro was just getting the hang of this ability, in his fight against King, he further enhanced his usage and was able to defeat the Commander soundly. Yamato has had their Conqueror's Haki much longer and was able to hold off Kaido impressively before Luffy returned.

Kozuki Oden

Kozuki Oden from One Piece.

Oden shouldn't be too much stronger than Zoro and Yamato, but he did perform admirably against Kaido, dealing him the iconic slash scars that appear on the Yonko's chest.

Oden doesn't demonstrate too much of his usage of Haki outside of his battle against Kaido and proves to ultimately be no match against the strength of someone like Roger. While Oden is a peerless samurai with incredible power, fans don't really get to see him go all out too much due to him being stacked up against some of the most terrifying foes in One Piece.

Silvers Rayleigh

Silvers Rayleigh from One Piece.

Little is really known about Rayleigh's strength, but he is without a doubt a true master of Haki and helped Luffy harness and control his abilities.

Rayleigh is seen fighting only briefly when he encounters Kizaru, who he seems to be remotely close to in strength. While it's impossible to know if fans will ever get to see the full strength of Rayleigh, it's doubtless he was stronger than Oden given his status in Roger's crew and that he was able to be a threat against an Admiral.

Sengoku

Sengoku from One Piece.

Sengoku is likely no longer in his prime and has now retired as the head of the Marines. That being said, only the most powerful of the Marines reach the top of the Admirals.

While being a Yonko has less to due with strength and more to do about territory and overall influence, being an Admiral is as simple as being strong. Sengoku was certainly that to achieve the rank of Fleet Admiral and in his prime, may have even been stronger than Big Mom or Kaido.

Big Mom

Big Mom from One Piece.

Big Mom served as one of the most powerful villains in One Piece yet and was barely taken down with the efforts of Kid and Law. While it isn't confirmed whether or not Blackbeard has Conqueror's Haki, it seems likely that most if not all Yonko typically possess it.

Big Mom is one of many, though she doesn't seem quite as refined in her practice of it when compared to someone like Kaido. Nonetheless, Big Mom proved time and time again she was one of the strongest characters to possess this ability.

Kaido

Kaido from One Piece.

Kaido, a mythical zoan user and one of the Yonko, served as the primary antagonist in the Wano Country and at the time he seemed like an impossible obstacle for Luffy to surpass.

One doesn't get the title of "strongest creature in the world" and get taken down easily. One of the things that made Kaido as tough and as dangerous as he was was his mastery of his Conqueror's Haki. The clash fans get to see between Luffy and Kaido with their Conqueror's Haki was amazing and paralleled well with the old age of piracy with Roger and Whitebeard's clash. Prior to his downfall, Kaido was without a doubt one of the strongest pirates in One Piece.

Monkey D. Luffy

In what will be remembered as one of the greatest moments in One Piece, in the best fight in Wano, Luffy's Devil Fruit awakening allowed him to gain the necessary power needed to surpass Kaido.

Every since the prison in Udon, Luffy had been working on an advanced form of Conqueror's Haki that allowed one to hit their opponent without actually physically touching them. This was the key to breaking through Kaido's tough scales. As the story progressed, Luffy grew more experienced with it, and with this harnessing of advanced Conqueror's Haki and his awakened Devil Fruit, it was enough to surpass Kaido and put him as one of the strongest pirates in One Piece.

Shanks

Shanks from One Piece.

Shanks is the first character to actually display Conqueror's Haki and that was done in the very first chapter of One Piece. Shanks may have had a lower bounty than Kaido, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he's weaker than him. Nor does it mean that Shanks hasn't been getting stronger since fans last saw him.

Given that Shanks's full power hasn't been seen yet, it's safe to say that he's probably at least stronger than Kaido and Big Mom. Though whether he's surpassed the monumental powers of Whitebeard and Roger is unknown.

Whitebeard

Whitebeard from One Piece.

Whitebeard grew a little more sluggish after suffering a severe injury from Blackbeard, but he was still the strongest pirate around.

Whitebeard without a doubt will be a legend amongst pirates. His and Ace's death, just like Roger's, kicked off the end and the beginning of a new era for pirates. The impact he had on the world was incredible and there's no doubt he was likely the strongest Conqueror's Haki wielder while he was still alive. After all, he had the title "the world's strongest man" for a reason.

Gol D. Roger

Gol D. Roger from One Piece.

Roger is without a doubt the most impressive pirate yet in One Piece and his power is through sheer Haki alone, not relying on any Devil Fruit powers.

Roger is definitely the strongest confirmed wielder of Conqueror's Haki in One Piece and it seems possible that he is the strongest character One Piece fans have seen in general. The only possible contender at this point in time is Rocks D. Xebec, who also likely possessed Conqueror's Haki, but as of now, it's impossible to say. The only other pirate who has come close is Whitebeard, but one day, Luffy will likely be number one.
