On May 30th, 2022, One Piece fans saw the incredible conclusion to the final fight of the Wano arc with Luffy overcoming Kaido. Both Kaido and Big Mom were then seen frying in magma, at last, dethroned.

From Luffy and Zoro vs Hawkins to Luffy vs Kaido, there have been an incredible amount of fights featured in the Wano Country arc. This arc has really pushed the Straw Hats past their limits and allowed them to ascend to the top of the food chain among pirates.

Luffy & Zoro Vs Hawkins

Luffy and Zoro vs Hawkins in the land of Wano.

Luffy and Zoro's reunion in One Piece was long-awaited, as the two were separated for dozens of chapters/episodes. It brought a smiling face to every fan's face, but not before the two were thrown into battle against Hawkins.

It's not surprising that the two most likely to reveal their identities would be Luffy and Zoro but that's why fans love them so much. Luffy and Zoro vs Hawkins was a great fight because fans got to see these two Straw Hats fight together once again. It was also a great moment to see Luffy attempt to use a sword (well, in his own way of course) and for Zoro to reprimand him. Hawkins also made this fight a creative one with a mix of his cards and his straw Devil Fruit.

Zoro Vs Killer

Zoro vs Killer in One Piece.

Zoro vs Killer probably wasn't really a fight that fans expected to see, especially when it seemed evident that Kid would eventually be teaming up with Luffy and Law. However, Killer was there under false pretenses, believing he could help Kid.

While Zoro vs Killer was an exciting battle in the manga, the anime increased its excitement giving Zoro's Haki a beautiful and flashy aura. The fight in general was well animated with a rigorous clash between these two pirates. Despite Zoro suffering a pretty serious injury (when does he not?) from Killer, he was able to get the upper hand on Killer by using his scythe to defeat him. An interesting tactic that shows fans that Zoro doesn't necessarily need a sword to wield his three-sword style, any type of blade will do.

Sanji Vs Queen

Sanji vs Queen in One Piece.

In a quirky fight, Sanji brawls in an intense battle against Queen, Kaido's third in command. The pages of this battle were fun and exciting, but they were intriguing more for Sanji's character. At last, Sanji gave up on his Raid Suit, deciding he wouldn't rely on that power anymore.

While Sanji does try to put the Vinsmoke family behind him, it seems he has no choice but to embrace it with his latent cyborg powers kicking in. It will be interesting to see how Sanji adapts to this newly enhanced body he possesses, but fans shouldn't worry about Sanji becoming a cold-hearted man like his siblings and father.

Robin Vs Black Maria

Robin vs Black Maria in One Piece.

In what may be Nico Robin's most exciting battle yet in One Piece she demolishes Black Maria, a member of the Beast Pirates. Robin takes on an opponent after Sanji begs for her help, trusting her wholly to take care of it.

These kinds of moments are what One Piece fans live for, seeing friends trust each other equally to handle different tasks. And Robin does just that and defeats Black Maria with her terrifying new form. Robin finally fully shows her progress from training during the time-skip and reveals to her enemies that she is one of the most powerful crew members of the Straw Hats.

Yamato Vs Kaido

Yamato vs Kaido in One Piece.

A short burst of an exciting battle between father and child: while Yamato vs Kaido isn't a long battle, it is a great one that showcases Yamato's Devil Fruit. It's also a fight that solidifies where Yamato's character stands within the war against Kaido and how Yamato is set on sailing the seas with Luffy.

With Yamato joining the Straw Hats and their feats against Kaido, it makes it likely they are now the second strongest crew member right behind Luffy. However, given the consistency of the series, who knows how long this will last.

Law & Kid Vs Big Mom

Big Mom facing Law and Kid in One Piece.

A terrifying battle that saw the fall of one of the two remaining Yonko. Law and Kid truly gave it their all as they faced off against the horrifying Big Mom, one of the most powerful villains in One Piece to date.

It was always inevitable that the Yonko would fall, but to finally witness it was truly a surreal experience for One Piece fans and one of the biggest milestones in the series. Law and Kid demonstrate unique tactics using their strongest attacks in tune and finally taking down Big Mom by sending her down through the bottom of Onigashima.

Zoro Vs King

Zoro vs King in One Piece.

Zoro's fights have been rather dull in the New World, but Zoro vs King reignited just what fans originally loved about his fights setting him back on track to becoming the world's greatest swordsman in One Piece. He overcomes his trials through swords and defeats one of the strongest enemies around.

King's character was remarkably interesting from his race, design, and strength. The fight was rigorously intense and is possibly Zoro's greatest battle yet. It's exciting to imagine just what this fight will look like once it's been animated. Though Zoro is on the verge of death prior to even fighting King, he is able to push past his limits and further himself along with his swordsmanship and his newly attained Conqueror's Haki.

Roger Vs Whitebeard

Roger vs Whitebeard in One Piece.

One Piece fans never get tired of flashbacks and what's more exciting than a flashback than the former Pirate King himself, Gol D. Roger?

Roger's clash against Whitebeard is short, but it's absolutely breathtaking in both the manga and the anime. The area shakes around them and what's more, the two blades don't even touch. The first clash of Conqueror's Haki that fans see is an amazing moment that foreshadows many more clashes that are to come in the most major of fights in the Wano arc. Roger vs Whitebeard reminds fans just how powerful these two titans were and why they were the strongest pirates of their time.

Luffy Vs Kaido

Luffy vs Kaido in One Piece.

Luffy vs Kaido will always be a fight to remember. Not just because Luffy defeated a Yonko, but also because of the incredible Devil Fruit awakening that Luffy experienced revealing to fans that he possesses one of the rare Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits.

Luffy and Kaido had many confrontations during the Wano arc and even in their final battle, there were several times when it looked as if Luffy wouldn't get back up again. However, resilient as always and attaining the full powers of his Devil Fruit, Luffy was able to overcome and overpower Kaido. This was an incredible fight that saw the freedom of the people of Wano and will likely see the country as Luffy's first territory as a new Yonko. Luffy's declaration at the end was also a perfect embodiment of who he is and what he fights for "I'll make a world where my friends can eat as much food as they want!!!"

Worst Generation Vs Kaido & Big Mom

Worst Generation vs Kaido and Big Mom in One Piece.

Many fans might say Luffy vs Kaido is the best fight in the Wano arc, but it's important to remember the incredible fight that started the final battle. The Worst Generation sizing up the two Yonkos was bone-chilling and amazing.

Every character gave it their all, with special mention of Zoro unlocking his Conqueror's Haki and even having Big Mom warn Kaido that he was dangerous. This also kicked off what would eventually fall into the final battles of Big Mom vs Kid and Law and Luffy vs Kaido. However, before this, the Worst Generation gave their best against these two mighty foes and even appeared as if they might even win for a time. With Zoro and Killer out of the picture, it's even more amazing that Luffy, Law, and Kid were victorious, but the key to their victory was separating the two Yonko.
