Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt star in the first image for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino is moving forward with his ninth film and is tackling another big story to do so. He's going back to the 1960s to explore the time period surrounding the Manson Murders. But, in typical Tarantino fashion, it won't be as straight forward as that. The movie will instead focus on a working duo in Hollywood brought to life by DiCaprio and Pitt.

DiCaprio was linked to the project from almost right away, after previously working with Tarantino in Django Unchained. Pitt meanwhile was said to be in competition with Tom Cruise for his role, but he eventually won and is set to reunite with Tarantino after Inglorious Bastards. With filming set to begin, the duo revealed their stylish looks.

DiCaprio posted the first image on Instagram from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that features him alongside his co-star in Pitt. The release of the photo comes right as the film is expected to start production, making this release likely a chance to beat the paparazzi to the punch. Either way, this is the start of what should be even more updates and first looks at the film and its impressive cast.

In Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, DiCaprio plays Rick Dalton, a former Western TV star that now is struggling to find his place in Hollywood. Pitt meanwhile plays Cliff Booth, the longtime stuntman for Dalton. With them at the focus and the Manson Murders as the back drop, the film is said to have a bit of a Pulp Fiction vibe. Going a step further, DiCaprio has praised the work of the writer/director by calling it one of Tarantino's best scripts.

With this fun image kicking off the actual production of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, it may not be too long before looks at the rest of the ensemble cast. Margot Robbie is the other main star as she plays Sharon Tate and is the neighbor to Pitt, thus bringing the otherwise unconnected stories together. The rest of the cast features Kurt Russell, James Marsden, Timothy Olyphant, Al Pacino, Damian Lewis, and many more. If filming for the movie is underway, then hopefully it won't be long before the rest of the all-star cast shares first looks at their characters too. Even if that doesn't come, this first image for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is enough to start generating excitement.
