Warning: includes a preview for Infinite Frontier #5!

In the new preview for Infinite Frontier #5, Psycho-Pirate recruits a range of heroes and villains from around the multiverse, for Darkseid! It's been known for a while that Darkseid has been recruiting an army. Psycho-Pirate is in charge of recruitment and it seems that he has the right idea about how to go about doing it. It was presumed that he would use his powers to force DC's heroes and villains to work for Darkseid, just like he's doing to Flash right now. However, the Crisis on Infinite Earths villain just came up with the perfect way of forcing heroes and villains from all over the multiverse to work for them without straining his powers.

Throughout the Infinite Frontier miniseries, many characters have been brought back and re-introduced. But the new Injustice team is perhaps the most interesting featured team, considering how they were first united. At the end of Infinite Frontier #4, the team's leader Machinehead is seen standing next to  Superwoman, Yellow Lantern Joker, Magog, Dr. Sivana, Fate, and Lady Quark. But how they were actually formed is set to be revealed in Infinite Frontier #5.

DC Comics has released new preview pages, via AIPT Comics, for Infinite Frontier #5 by Joshua Williamson, Paul Pelletier, Tom Derenick, Jesus Merino, Raul Fernandez, Norm Rapmund, and Romulo Fajardo Jr. The preview begins with Psycho-Pirate pitching to the D.E.O's Director Bones and Justice Incarnate's Machinehead. Psycho-Pirate's offer is extremely tactical as he taps into the two character's biggest fear, fear of another multiversal crisis. He is essentially DC's "Omega Man" as he's supposedly the one figure who can unite everyone before the Omniverse falls to Darkseid's reign.

In the new preview, it shows Bones making the deal with Darkseid that he teased in the previous issue. Psycho-Pirate not only recruits Bones and Machinehead but the entirety of the new Injustice Incarnate. All of the different characters are promised that their worlds will be exempt from Darkseid's new crisis plan. But with one catch, they owe Psycho-Pirate a favor if things go sour when facing off against the multiverse's heroes. If that day ever comes, Psycho-Pirate makes them promise to come running to their aid. For all of these characters with bad memories of past crisis' it's a no-brainer to accept Psycho-Pirate's offer, despite having to potentially work for Darkseid one day.

That day has finally come as the preview shoots back to the present day. Bones confronts Chase, who he blames for their crash in the last issue. It's revealed that Psycho-Pirate and Darkseid's deal includes sacrificing heroes with multiversal energy inside of them. The link to the 1971 Charlton Heston Omega Man film is obvious as the impending crisis threatens to decimate all of reality, leaving only Psycho-Pirate alive. But with their offer, other realities can survive if they aid Darkseid's mission with their sacrifices. Infinite Frontier #5 will be available on August 31.
