A new piece of fan art imagines what Dwight from The Office would look like as Wolverine. The Office premiered in 2005 and lasted for eight seasons on NBC before ending in 2013. Despite the series being off the air for seven years now, fans still watch The Office on repeat, with many calling it one of the best American sitcoms to ever air.

Even though The Office is beloved by fans around the world, fans have yet to see an Office Reboot or reunion. Steve Carell has repeatedly said that he doesn't want to do an Office reboot, but just recently, it was announced an Office reunion episode might be in the works. Dwight Schrute, played by Rainn Wilson, appeared in all 188 episodes of The Office and was a fan favorite due to his eccentric personality. While it doesn't look like Wilson will get to return to the world of The Office anytime soon, one artist has imagined him in another movie universe.

One of the more recent creations from digital artist Bosslogic features Dwight as Wolverine. Wilson's face is simply photoshopped onto Hugh Jackman's body, with the nice addition of an X-Men fanny pack. Bosslogic followed up this piece with a post of Jim as Cyclops holding up a notepad reading, "I was right...", which is a reference to the "Cyclops Was Right" movement in the X-Men comics. Both of Bosslogic's Office/X-Men mashups can be seen below:

While Wilson is unlikely to be cast as Wolverine in a future X-Men movie, Marvel Studios will be recasting the character when the X-Men are finally introduced to the MCU. It was announced at last year's San Diego Comic-Con that mutants were coming to the MCU, but there is little to no information on when/how the X-Men will be introduced. The Fantastic Four were also acquired by Disney after they bought 20th Century Fox, and Kevin Feige announced at last year's SDCC that they were working on a new Fantastic Four movie. There is very little known about this project as well, but John Krasinski has long been rumored to be playing Mr. Fantastic.

Regardless of who Marvel chooses, to play those characters, it doesn't take away from how funny fans of The Office will find this artwork. Jim and Dwight were always at war with each other, which means turning them into Wolverine and Cyclops were the perfect choices since those characters often have feuds as well. It's also worth mentioning that Bosslogic chose a promotional image from X-Men: Origins- Wolverine in his piece, which adds another layer of humor for movie fans as Wolverine's origin movie is often considered one of worst X-Men movies to date. Wilson may never be cast as Wolverine, but that doesn't mean The Office fans wouldn't love to see it.
