Throughout The Office's nine seasons, the good people of Dunder Mifflin Scranton and beyond have graced viewers with impeccable comedic timing and inappropriate moments that are too awkward and cringe-worthy not to giggle at. Along those lines, The Office has also given viewers head-scratching fashion moments.

Whether it's a holiday, an office party, or your average workday, there were certain outfits that were impractical for the line of work they were doing or the event they were attending. However, their failed fashion moments just added to the hilarity of the show. So, what was the biggest fashion disaster of all?

Oscar On Beach Games

In "Beach Games," Michael surprised everyone with a trip to the "beach" for a day of fun in the sun. Little did the office know, he had an ulterior motive — he wanted to see who had what it took to become the next regional manager if he were to be promoted to corporate.

Most of the employees dressed appositely for the day outside but Oscar seemed a bit reserved. He wore typical clothes that one would wear in the office. There's no way his dress pants and button-down were breathable for a sunny day at the beach.

Val At The Office Christmas Party

Darrl and val - the office

In "Christmas Wishes," Darryl's crush on Val was at an all-time high and he invited her to the office Christmas party. He told her that their holiday parties are pretty fancy and to dress up.

Poor Val showed up in a plum ball gown while everyone else was in casual business attire (albeit Christmas-themed). Val was mortified but had no choice but to stick out the party in a dress that was far too formal.

Kelly's Polka Dot Dress

Kelly talking to Ryan on The Office and looking angry.

When Kelly heard that Ryan was coming back to Scranton from the corporate office, she didn't want to waste any time. She was on a mission to win him back and led the way through fashion. She wore a polka dot dress with heart-shaped earrings and waited for the right moment to approach him. And while Kelly looked beautiful, this dress was totally impractical for a day stuck at the cubicle.

Carol's Outfit At Kelly's Diwali Party

To be fair to Carol, it was not her fault that she dressed as a cheerleader to a Diwali party; Michael offensively compared the Indian culture's ensembles to costumes.

Michael showed up in his Halloween costume and his girlfriend, Carol, dressed as a cheerleader. He was able to save his outfit but she was left humiliated for the entire night.

Michael In The Winter Without A Coat

Michael wanted nothing more than to keep the party going when he got back from Jamacia. He wasn't ready to accept the fact that he was no longer on vacation; he was in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and had to get back in work mode.

To extend his vacation vibes, Michael went outside with his new instrument and kept singing "Feeling, Hot, Hot, Hot" even though he was anything but hot. There was snow on the ground and Michael was outside without a jacket, pretending like he was in the tropics.

Meredith's Casual Friday Dress

The rules for Casual Friday were not made clear for the Scranton office. Oscar wore open-toed shoes and Meredith's dress showed... a little too much of her. Nobody should be shamed for liking revealing clothes, but it's not the most appropriate choice to wear an outfit that exposes imitate parts of your body to work... even on Casual Friday.

Dwight's Pumpkin Head

The Office Pumpkin Dwight

In a cold open, Dwight prepped for Halloween by putting a pumpkin on his head. Shortly after, he realized the pumpkin was too tight and he couldn't get it off. He continued wearing the pumpkin and assumed it would come off as soon as it started rotting. But really, wearing a giant pumpkin on your head is impractical in any setting.

Kevin's Tissue Box Shoes

While in Western New York for Pam and Jim's wedding, Kevin left his shoes by his door for them to be professionally cleaned. But the following morning, he found out that the hotel staff threw them away because the smell was so horrible.

In Kevin's mind, his only option was to turn tissue boxes into shoes. He claimed the box-shoes were a huge conversation starter. They were definitely unconventional, but by the end of the night, he was icing his feet from having no support.

Kevin During Fun Run

In "Fun Run," the entire office signed up to run an ill-planned 5k to support finding a cure for rabies. The big problem? The 5k was designed in such a way that it didn't end back at the office. The employees were literally running further from Dunder Mifflin.  Nevertheless, everyone wore matching "Race for the Cure" shirts. And then there was Kevin...

He opted for his business attire, which begs the question if he even had running clothes. Running a 5k in a tie, trousers, and dress shoes is one way to be uncomfortable.

Dwight On Earth Day

Dwight as recyclopse - the office

When Dunder Mifflin underwent a recycling initiative, Dwight took it upon himself to scare everyone straight and recycle smarter. He started out sensible in an Earth Day-themed shirt and khakis but soon transformed into "Recyclops."

As the years went on, Dwight's Recyclops outfit became more intense. He wore a hockey helmet and pads and a massive sign on his chest that said aggressive words. Sitting at a desk all day while wearing uncomfortable sporting equipment could not have been fun.
